FWIW - I see the ES trading 1100ish - but not until after we see the 1060's. Today looks like they are gunning for 88+ - maybe just people taking profit on remaining shorts before the weekend. I'm cutting out early so I don't overtrade a dull summer friday afternoon :) - nice weekend all!

Disclaimer: put on your tin foil hat before reading. I can't help but wonder if the flash crash was a trial run by Al Qaeda... and the big drop is coming in the midst of the 10 yr anniversary of 9/11. If they are smart they realized the way to take down the west is through the free...

If we get range expansion southward - I think 72-73 holds unless we get a surprise burst of volume ahead of or during lunch (If I recall this did happen a while back) Getting 93 is not unrealistic... if they get through 88 there is a ton of protective stops up there to give it a boost.

1090 might stop it... it's going to take more and more volume to keep the party going... not that likely in the middle of AH. See you's guys in the morning.

86 is trading... looks like more room on the upside.

Since emg frustrates the hell out of people here I am going to take a stab at what his method is all about. So... Let's assume that - when the market is making a range expansion type of move (i.e. trend day).. he can figure out the point where it is nearly impossible for the range to...

In my IHS / HS world the RS shoulder can fail. NL break didn't hold so maybe we'll get a "proper" IHS if 80ish holds. Yeah I was just pondering that more ominous IHS.... I'm just piking at the turns until the picture gets more clear. SPY 110 looks interesting for OPEX.

NL break - yeehaw! EDIT - they took it damn close to 77.0 - but they sure did load the tank with buy stops!

So far so good... the grind is on... pretty wide range so far ...5ish handles. Wake up volume level on 5 min ES is 10K. If 77 doesn't hold need to re-evaluate. Every time it pops and then drops ... more buy stops. Then they bang 'em later. Same shit different T-day.

They are painting the tape red right after a "safe" pullback to get the bears buy stops in place to finish the run up. At least that's my view... I'm not playing it until the slow grind is confirmed.

Now we get a slow grind short... maybe a couple of hours worth. In the afternoon TDAYBOYZ finish the gap closing job.
