    it all about risk per trade but one with a $5k prop account can make $300-$400 a day as well. I believe with day trading never risk more then 2%-3% of your account on trade.

    and pay those god awful commissions. :confused: If I recall - Per Share Commission $.015 per share I have it on mute and listen tradethenews.com and sometimes tune in to cnbc. We do not have tv's in our trading office so CNBC plus does the job.

    this last 20 days or so of trading has been great. Plenty of action. It does seems like the dead zone is slower then it used to be and vol has been hit or miss as of recent but plenty of action for the way I day trade. Couldn't be happier. 2010 is starting out very well.

    I personally do not believe in the 10,000 hour rule. If you have a mentor who takes you under their wing and explains how to trade with regards to general mechanics of the market, trading on fundamental, technical, explaining order execution and all other aspects etc one does not need 10,000...
