    Twitter/YouTube Option Traders

I've stumbled onto many young option traders showing their big daily/weekly profits on Twitter. They do show some big profits along with some strategies/memberships to their various other businesses along with lots of motivational advice and pics/videos of the fruits of their trading. I'm not...

Can anyone shed any light on my question above?

When should the goal be to expire worthless?

When you sell a put, is there a rule of thumb for when you should buy to close? I know I can let them expire worthless weeks or months in the future, but I'm thinking about the percentage of the premium received vs. the percentage of time elapsed.

    Determining Option Price Changes Question

Is it possible to determine how much an option price will change based on a move in the underlying stock? I'm thinking it has something to do with the Greeks, but not sure. Example: Sell 1 Put on XYZ (out of the money) XYZ stock increases 1% How would I determine how much the price of the...

    TSLA Options Question

30 contracts x 100 shares x $1 per share, cash secured puts would be $3000.

    TSLA Options Question

It would bring in 1% of whatever is secured; i.e. 30 contracts would tie up $3000, and bring in $30 of premium. I know it's only a little money, but I was just surprised to see a strike like that with TSLA at its current price.

    TSLA Options Question

So is there much risk (besides tying up money) to selling some puts at that strike for an average investor with TSLA?

    TSLA Options Question

For the TSLA June 18th 2021, $1 Puts, there are many contracts offered at a bid price .01 with the ask at .02. It seems like a low strike to have such activity/open interest (40,000 open interest) 1. Is there much/any risk selling those to open at that strike? (besides tying up money for so...

    TSLA Order Filling Question

I'm not sure what you're trying to say here. My original question was just about why the order didn't fill when I met their bid.

    TSLA Order Filling Question

I spotted an option for June 2021 for $1 TSLA Puts at $.01 . There were 98 in the Order Book from NOM and 9 from PHLX. I did a Sell to Open for 95 Puts at .01 (All or None). It did not fill. Any idea why it would not fill since I met the bid on this?

    REITs - Uncorrelated?

Are REITs supposed to be uncorrelated to the stock market? I've seen it mentioned that they can be used as part of a diversified portfolio and may be less correlated to the general market. However, when the market dropped in March, REITs tanked along with every other sector in the market...

Holding for stock Dividends is a near total waste of space

This is how I've been viewing dividends for a long time. They're good if you're reinvesting the dividend into more shares at lower prices if the stock falls. So, they can help with dollar cost averaging and then hopefully the stock recovers and then you get your capital appreciation. I had...

    Put Option Chain Bid Question

An easy question for someone here...I was looking at the USO option chain yesterday with USO at 24. The bid for June 5 puts was something like this below. Why would that 4 strike price have an .01 bid when the ones above it are all 0? Is that just someone trying to close out their position...

    USO Pricing Question

Yes, actually owned a little RDS when it was in the 50s. Sold for a tiny loss right before the big drop. Kicking myself for not nibbling when it hit 19. PSX has been on my radar for a while too, but really have no specific knowledge on what a good entry point would be for either.
