OMG I can't believe this fallacy still exists in trading!

Just skimming the thread...Some basics. You get concept of the stock dropping 50% and will need to rise 100%...You learned that in second grade, right?? Let's throw out the $2. and $1. stock...It is NOT making money. It's a "potential" future money maker and can not be counted...That is where...

My ITM short option was not assigned

Just skimming the thread...I could be wrong. It seems that whoever owns the option, has the RIGHT to exercise that option. But, they are NOT OBLIGATED to exercise it. Like others have said...It could be not wanting capital gains (long or short term, taxes), death (with no instructions on...

T-bills Etrade vs TDAmeritrade difference in yields

I saw this too. Schwab does the "ask"...I believe TDA (since it is now owned by Schwab), probably does the same. I believe you can go between the bid and ask and get the fill. I don't know what the charge would be...Nothing is for free.

If I am doing option research at Fidelity or Schwab...Are they selling the information to someone??

I understand about the fully automated...But I may question not wanting to see the small order. Was thinking if I put in a ask on a covered call this evening (market closed), would Fidelity/Schwab's MMs see it before the opening of the markets?? I may be wrong, but I believe they do...Part of...

If I am doing option research at Fidelity or Schwab...Are they selling the information to someone??

Say, looking for future trades tomorrow. I usually do basic research at Yahoo Finance...Then the day of, look where the bid/ask is on that option. So I started to look at covered calls at Fidelity. I am sure they track my movement (really don't know why). But do they sell it to anyone else...
