At night, the Bunds, Gilts, DAX and JGBs (the latter on the TSE, not LIFFE as there is very poor liquidity) are good for day trading programs.

A magazine cover only indicates that it is OLD news.

no signals service. no point trying to get an edge using the same signals as however many other people, who are essentially paying for a service that makes itself useless by the simple fact that it is for sale to the public. my 2 cents

I guess no one here has ever played the boardgame Stock Ticker, some relic of a game from the 50s where you buy and sell gold, bonds, stocks, etc. all on a roll of the dice. maybe that was too obvious though.. :p

Did anyone hear anything about these contracts before yesterday? They really didn't give a lot of nitice on this, how do they expect to attract volume if noone know about the contracts?

I am a 6mnth veteran of the futures game, but now I am working the graveyard shift at an execution desk. The active contracts when I work are the Bunds, Gilts and Dax. I am just trying to gain some insight on the best way to trade these. Typically I am more interested in swing moves not...

The best thing to trade at night are the JGBs on the TSE. There is a good futures contract, with decent volume and plenty of volatility. Great for day trading.

Do you want to send your money to a foreign market that may or may not limit your ability to withdraw at your leisure? If I had money there, I would probably be a bit nervous of what might be next. That said, it is likely a good time to buy with a longer time horizon and a blindfold. :)

Thanks for the insights, I am taking the weekend off and just watching for a few days. I only like to trade when I have a fairly strong opinion on the general direction of the markets and I am pretty much disoriented these days. Happy trading :)
