    Pull back or reversal?

It took some time to set up the template for charts some years ago, but I only add some few notes every week so it does not take to much time. The "B" label on SPX chart is some Astro-dates for my personal interest. The "t", "a" and "A" are my pullbacks. "g" and "G" is the Gartley pullback...

    Pull back or reversal?

Well, you can look at : price : for example 3 long candlesticks indicates reversal, pullbacks should have smaller and smaller candlesticks price-action before pullback : strong trend is best, I have backtested this. And... this is very important, you should look at the size of the last...

Classic Geometric Patterns and Narrow Range Setups

I found something I called "TWS"(after studying TA-books and then the market). http://www.aksjeinfo.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/000130.html Can explain later. I looked at VIX now, there is a bull-flag --> VIX break up and SPX break down. TWS, yes... thats a ca. 3 bar pullback in a strong trend...

PATTERNS -- So These REALLY Work???

One of the stocks my scan found was CMVT. It's close to 0.786(0.807) at B and close to 0.618(0.601) at C. It's at the moment at 1.000XA, so it has to move up a little bit to 1.272XA. Volume is 50MUSD, is that enough ...

PATTERNS -- So These REALLY Work???

http://www.ensignsoftware.com/faq/pesavento.htm ... Stockcharts.com have much the same also, but only in daily and weekly bars. I have made/modified a program(script) so I can scan for Gartley and Butterfly in daily bars. I'm testing it on S&P500 and Nasdaq100 -stocks. It looks to work...

PATTERNS -- So These REALLY Work???

SPX : I made this chart : Elliott wave 5 waves from 990 to 1053. Ending diagonal(wave 5, wedge shape) from 1026 to 1053. "Retracing at least back to the level where it began..."(1026) : http://www.ttrader.com/mycharts/display.php?p=15952&u=tyren&a=Tyren&id=430 "... often ends in a brief...

PATTERNS -- So These REALLY Work???

I try to trade these patterns(Gartley, butterfly...), but I'm new to trading them. I have traded Elliott waves for many years, and it is much the same. But I think it is easier to agree on seeing Gartley, butterfly and 3 drives than Elliott waves.

PATTERNS -- So These REALLY Work???

Trade of the week from Tradingtutor.com : http://tradingtutor.com/tow/UTX10-23-03.png (UTX - weekly). Is this a ideal bearish butterfly ? Don't look like that to me... (The B point... ok it is 0.633 retrace of XA) CD = 1.80 x AB. CD = 2.40 x BC.
