+188 today. EMC was really great again today and i was still only doing 1k lots. Tommorow i plan to get comfortable with 1k and go to 1.5k for the second half of the morning and the afternoon session.

Just as another opinion on the thread, i scalp NYSE with a winning % of 60-65% daily. I always flat into the bid/ask and rarely take actual losses, just commision losses.

Most people that i know that trade 5k-10k at swift are either using 1-2 tickets to get filled on slow moving ETF's, or are using smaller blocks of 1-2k many times to arb or catch quick moves, in which case an extra 20 cents is nothing.

From what i know there are no 'deals'. Everyone has access to trading equities or futures, and it is all under the same commision scale.

I did $49 today. I was down 105 at the open as i was trying a new strategy and manage to get myself mangled (math makes sense, should be better tommorow), but i had a good day on EP and managed to pull it back in the green by the end of the day.

For me its definatly volumes on the order book, ECN arbitrage on big moves, specialist manipulation, and watching for big orders to take advantage of the auto-ex and the delay on the large order fills.
