    Inventory Grab Alert 4/30/09!

AMT, incredible trade (and it's still running)!!! Say you had missed the short entry opportunity yesterday in the low 920's. What do you do once the move is well underway? Wait for price to retrace back up to a zone (and if so, which one), sit on the sidelines until a later time, try to enter...

AMT, was a new layer of short inventory added today at 920.50-923.50, or should we only concentrate on the previous zone of 924-927?

Nice trade Ivan! Just a heads up.... 99% of us in this thread are concentrating on using Cumulative Delta in our trading. You've come to the board, added nothing useful about Cumulative Delta, tried to contradict AMT's trading method, and posted some trades. I would kindly ask that you go...

I'm short with you too AMT. Great divergence setup. Let's see if the bears can follow through this time!!!

Thanks for the breakdown of your trade management. It makes a lot of sense and you should still end up making a nice chunk of change if it all works out. Just wondering, what is the worst case scenario in this situation. If price never even hits your first target of 896.75 and begins to make...

You still in your short trade AMT? Do you have a protective stop in place?

AMT, what do you think about this chart showing a large divergence in the CD since the last time price traded at these levels?

    Inventory Grab Alert 4/30/09!

I'm gonna throw my .02 out there and venture to say that the nearest held short inventory zone is from 882-885 and formed over multiple price rotations during Fridays trading..... Ok AMT... let us have it!!! haha

    Inventory Grab Alert 4/30/09!

Here is a quick chart I threw together with todays divergences. It might look cluttered, but I'm sure real-time you can see these setting up well in advance (just like AMT said).

Excellent post AMT!!! If there is a pocket of resting inventory, how is it that in the AH session, price can rocket right through that zone with a fraction of the volume? I thought that held inventory would have to be eaten up before price could continue beyond the zone...

No, I'm using DTN IQ Feed. It's what AMT uses, so it must be quite reliable.

What data feed are you using? Check out my chart for the comparison... Specifically how my CD doesn't show the first divergence you had annotated. I wonder which of our CD's are wrong. I'm using Investor RT.

    Inventory Grab Alert 4/30/09!

Excellent chart and thanks for sharing! These two trades were the moneymakers of the day. The chart I posted outlined every divergence I saw, large and small. I do agree that there is a much higher possibility of a profitable trade when confuence of VWAP, S/R, Pivots, etc are involved. I hope...

    Inventory Grab Alert 4/30/09!

Yep, you are exactly right in your interpretation. I look at it as kind of an opposite divergence... where price is divergent from the CD, instead of vice versa. When I try to think about what is happening, I interpret that a lot of volume (CD) is flowing into the market, yet price is not...

    Inventory Grab Alert 4/30/09!

Here is a chart with all the divergences I saw for today.... Also, I think that if more people were to post charts in here, everyone would learn faster. It's so much easier to understand what someone is trying to say when there is a visual attached. So come on folks... Lets see some charts!!!

I hate to ask for another chart........................ but can you show where you see this 924-927 inventory. I must be overlooking something, because I see a verrrrry tiny held inventory at those levels. Not anything that seems worth deeming important.

You use Ninja for trades right? Do you have two separate accounts so that you're able to take long and short trades at the same time (If I tried to do that on Ninja, it would just close my opposite positions). Funny thing the other day. A Virgin A343 arrived after a long distance flight...

    Inventory Grab Alert 4/30/09!

Great explanation!! That makes complete sense to me. Did you catch this short just now? After I saw it setting up, I placed a limit order at 921.25 (1 point from high rule), but it never came back to fill me. Guess I have to be quicker on the trigger. Anyways, I'll stick with the intraday stuff...

AMT, I'm trying to figure out where you are getting the 924-927 level as a resting short inventory resistance. Is this from the price/CD action yesterday? If so, please see attached chart and tell me where I took a wrong turn. The major resting inventory I see is between 921.25-924.25 THANKS!!!
