    S/R Emini Journal

It's usually a losing battle to fight the direction of the naz. The market has 2 things going for it this morning. 1) The naz is outperforming to the upside 2) ticks are bouncing off the zero line. most negative tick reading has been in the -500 area while most positive tick reading...

Another nice JJ Buy on the ER. Good for a quick 2 points. Usually after a nice trend day like yesterday, you start to get selling at that high, thus I was only looking for a retest. 2 points on the ER is a good way to start the morning. There are enough great examples of JJ's...

    Trading the Pivots

One thing that has made me a lot of money by saving me a lot of money is the ability to recognize a trend day. Trend days seem to have a few of the following characteristics: 1) They come after a few days of narrow ranges 2) The nq and er are outperforming the ym and es 3) The...

    Trading the Pivots

Took an esy 2 points on a JJ buy signal at 1319.00. This is JJ's original entry method which works really well. I bailed at 2 points as the R2 is 1322.

I think yesterday's outside day with an up close, pretty much answered the question as to whether there were more buyers or sellers around.

I don't know if the MP or Footprints show a lot of volume in this area, but our daily PP has been around 1309 for the past 3 days. It'll be interesting to see which way we move away from from this area. So far, it's a drifting above.

Yes, it is probably THE number problem I see most traders having. They see 400 indicators on their software package and can't believe that you can and probably will make a lot more money by using only a couple of the simple ones. Trading is completely the opposite of other "real world"...

Beautiful S2 trade. See previous posts for my entries and exits. These are a lot of fun when they work out like today. Unfortunately, we have only gotten a few in the last month as opposed to the usual 1 or 2 each week. Maybe it's back :)

I understand that you're setting up a filter based upon what you perceive as the daily trend of the market. The question for intraday trading using 3 to 5 minute charts to enter and exit: Is there any value in trading 3-5 minute bars in the direction of the daily trend? I have yet to see...

The numbers I use are the numbers from IB or futuresource or esignal for that day. They are NOT pit session or day session only numbers.

Do you use the "footprint" chart? If so, what's the difference between the "footprint" and your delta indicator on your chart. It looks like the indicator might be easier to use than the footprint. Is the indicator part of the new delta package ($129.00/month)?

    Trading the Pivots

I guess I'm not familiar enough with the pivot trend as an indicator to know if it really has any predictive value for my short term, intraday trading. So far, I don't see it, but I've only been aware of it as long as this forum is old (not long) :) I'll watch and learn. Thanks

A buy signal on JJ's original system on the NQ's. I took the NQ's as they were the stronger index There was about 15 minutes of heat, but the risk was very small. Then the explosion. JJ, Why are you messing with other stuff when your original set-up seems to work so well?

    Trading the Pivots

Just the standard formula: all session numbers: P= Pivot point; C= Close: H= High: and L= Low. The Pivot point number is the high, low; close added up and then divided by three. P=(H+L+C)/3= pivot point First resistance level take the pivot point number times two and...

For those of you that like pivots...I would, also, suggest looking at the TBonds ZB on IB. S1 today was 109 31 and R1 was 110 16. Pretty good money from the S1. We got a few sell signals using JJ's original entry. The last one at 11:15am, I took, but quickley bailed for a .50 loss. Why...
