WallStreet - Money Never Sleeps - comments

I didn't see that many movies last year, but I'd say WS2 was the worst movie i saw. That was the dumbest plot ever. Dumbest characters ever.

    Saying goodbye to CNBC...

I think the Tone of CNBC is important on the big turn days after a big correction. I think CNBC can be useful on these rare days that occur a few times a year to help you stay in your long and don't puke out so many shares.

    Sunday night markups/downs

Market can not move for hours during the trading day. But then on Sunday night it can move up or down an oversized amount that would make your head spin if it happened during the regular session in this low volatiliity period.

I have elected Trader Status with Mark to Market election. I am carrying forard my Net operating Loss from 2008. My understanding is that Net Operating Loss from trading in securities should NOT generate Alternative Minimum Tax. However, Turbo Tax doesn't seem to know about this and when it...

Gold not moving up on China move

After half an hours trade in gold tonight, i show it up less than $2 and off the highs. I show it up slightly less than the dollar is down. My trader sense tells me that if they aren't ripping gold up the usual $10 on the move by china, then they must be selling it. Maybe its down big by...

    Long Puts on UAUA/CAL?

I'm short those two stocks as of Friday. Airlines are about as extended as I would expect them to get and would expect they could have a pullback soon. But they are short killers and I have lost money picking tops in them this year.

    Crude high price seems dumb

Amazing, United States production is up enough y/y to replace China growth for this year. Just me, but that seems extremely not bullish!!!

    Crude high price seems dumb

    Crude high price seems dumb

From todays inventory report. Domestic production up 9.1% year over year. Net imports down 15.4% year over year Products supplied past week up 0.3% year over year. And thats even with crazy cold weather. Without that extra heating oil demand would be down year over year. So...
