The prop firm I'm with requires no positions in the market from 2 minutes before until 2 minutes after NFP release or you fail the account and have to start over. I'm staying in global sim mode until 8:32 AM.

ES, NQ, YM close at 2:15 PM Eastern today according to the CME website. That means anyone who gets trapped in by the FOMC release at 2 PM Eastern will have 15 minutes to get out or else will have to hold until they start trading again tonight. Weird that they close early and yet re-open them...

SPX is 10-11 points from last week's high. The ES is 15-16 points from its weekly high. I don't know if the disparity is significant, but it is unusual. Maybe because of news pending?

If I'm long, and three five minute bars in a row print the same high, I close the trade for as close to breakeven as I can and I wait for the next opportunity. Long at 62 and out at 62. I'll wait for stocks to open before trying again.

There are a lot of potential news catalysts today starting with ADP employment change at 8:15 Eastern and ending with the FOMC minutes at 2PM Eastern to create some movement. 8:30, 9:45, and 10:00 AM Eastern are also bringing the news.
