Dick Grasso grabs 139 million $$

Shouldn't we expect a "Fair and orderly market" to come at a price? lol

Dick Grasso grabs 139 million $$

Isn't the 138 million dollars coming from his 401K? Depending on how he managed his 401k, it may have been significantly higher or lower, right? Wasn't the 138 million dollars earned throughout his entire career, rather than in a single year? I don't see much wrong with that!

The psychology of crowd: results of academic research

Wow. I'd love to chart out points of resistance and support on a 1000 year chart. Of course, we'd have to adjust the prices for not only stock splits and dividends, but also for changes in the currencies used since over 1000 years, many currencies will be phased out.....kind of interesting.

Perhaps not the stock market but what about the forex, futures, commodity, and bond markets? I think economic trends can be used in these areas of securities trading. I don't think many people would disagree that relationships between bond behaviour and stock behaviour can and have been...

I assume that "The Economist" will keep one up to speed on the current state of the economy (that's just a guess though since I've never picked up an issue of the magazine myself). I think knowing exactly what's going on with economies throughout the world is an important part of being a...

I really should have bought the pound last week when it was down to 1.55 or so. Thanks for the advice but is there any particular reason why sooner is better than later? thanks

Best financial publications for a newbie trader

I would like to jump into the financial markets as a trader but admit that i know very little about the financial markets. Anyone know which publications I can read on a daily or weekly basis for the next year or so to get me up to speed on how markets move and what tends to move them? I have...

Worldco - A New Way Of Doing Things?

a full 100% payout seems to be available only at retail firms (as far as my research tells me, anyways......if you know of proprietary firms which pay 100%, i'd love to look into them). Retail firms generally don't provide traders with the same type of leverage PRO firms do, however so your...

    Any chances for a newbie,

Any idiot knows that you can't learn to trade by reading tons of trading books. You need to be actively engaged in the financial markets to really understand how they work. I don't think the guy's desire to be trained by a firm reflects a lack of desire to trade for a living but rather just...
