Trading exotic currency pairs? Are there firms which provide this ability?

Most firms only offer 19, at most, currency pairs. I want to be able to pick and choose the currency pairs I desire from nearly every currency around the world. For example, I may wish to enter into a trade to buy Argentine Pesos and then with my newly bought pesos to buy the British Pound...

    Flat panels worse than crt?

Never said they couldn't work great but that they just don't compare with CRTs. Admittedly, LCDs save energy. But, if you can do the same thing with 1 CRT that you can do with 3 CRTs then maybe you aren't really saving money! High resolution is available with LCDs but at crazy prices not to...

What exactly did WorldCo do wrong?

Well, given the fact that they ran the business for over 10 years, I am inspired to start a trading firm of my own (i.e. since you imply that running a trading firm sucessfully for 10 years is easier than running a lemonade stand, even I, with no experience, could manage it) Thanks for the...

    Flat panels worse than crt?

"wanker ware?" that is pretty funny. I prefer CRTs myself because current technology doesn't allow for high resolution LCDs. This last statement isn't entirely true but to understand what I am saying, compare the prices of CRTs and LCDs with the same resolution. Huge difference in price...

    Flat panels worse than crt?

    Flat panels worse than crt?

LCDs DON"T COMPARE to CRTs. The resolutions you can get out of a crt these days is unbelievable while LCD resolution still has a ways to go. I know a trader who switched from three LCDs to just ONE monitor with no loss of screenspace. Granted, the text size was very very small on the CRT as...

    Currency Killers

Very good point! Buffet buys at the bottom so a lot of people will be scared to jump after he does. I just thought it was interesting since it isn't every day you see the likes of Buffet speculating the currency markets (even if he holds these other currencies for two or five years, it would...

Suppose every major investment bank and institutional investor decided to follow buffet on his hunch? How do you think that would affect the dollar?

    Currency Killers

But look not at what his own personal leverage can do. Rather, look at the effect of people following his lead all over the world (when I say people,I mean institutions as well as individuals). That will be more than a drop in the bucket i think...

    Currency Killers

Nope I'm not kidding. People percieve Buffet as having the quality that everything he touches turns to gold. Obviously, Buffet's net worth (although would have a significant impact) would be a mere drop in the currency liquidity pool. But WHEN THE WORLD FOLLOWS HIS LEAD, we are in big...

What exactly did WorldCo do wrong?

I think the fact that they were still recruiting new traders (i.e. taking new traders' money) in the same month they declared bankruptcy is just wrong. Why the business crumbled: lack of an effective training program I imagine. From what I have heard from a few friends I knew that worked...

    Currency Killers

Who would have thought that Buffet would play an integral role in the devaluation of the US Dollar. Believe it or not, the chap is shorting the dollar (which is the same, as far as i am concerned, as buying foreign currencies). Even though the Bushg administration has recently been active in...

    First Lawsuit against Worldco (worldcon)

can't argue with that. One would be well advised to ALWAYS have an attorney present when one signs a contract (it may cost say $100-$500 to have an attorney look over a contract and advise you as to the fine print).

    First Lawsuit against Worldco (worldcon)

I was only commenting on the legailty of the issue. I was trying to say that IF traders file a suit against the firm, THEN the likliehood of them getting hteir money back isn't very good as the LLC contract protects the partners. That is all I was saying. Maybe there will be no suit, but my...
