    PDT Rule & Prop Firms

They all say they are legal until the SEC shows up at the door. :)

    Quad or Dual processor

I agree 100% with the staying with Win XP Pro, have tried both and XP pro has been a ton more reliable and faster for me, I am not a MSFT basher at all but I am in the camp that believes Vista is ready to handle Grandma's email and looks pretty but for big time apps like trading software it is...

    PDT Rule & Prop Firms

Great post Mav. Mav gets it, read his next post also about how sub-LLCs get in trouble. I don't understand why there are still people asking when this will make Bright, Echo, or Assent change their business models. Anyone asking that, read this post, read the one on page 1 of this thread...

    Quad or Dual processor

Video card won't make much of a difference at all since trading software is 2D, not 3D. Make sure you at least have one, the only thing that WILL slow you down is using integrated video (where there is no card, it is embedded on the motherboard) as that shares your system RAM. The Dual vs...

How to pay an escort tens of thousands without getting caught?

Saw that too, boy did Langone ever make it obvious that he had something to do with it. Sounds like the rich dudes that Spitzer had gone after basically just had PI's follow him 24/7 looking for him to do as much as litter, and turns out he had been doing all that. Spitzer should have had the...

    pro's and con's of series 7

I agree 100%. If anything it keeps the boneheads out and makes sure before they can risk their or a firm's capital they at least have a basic understanding of the securities markets. My take is this, everyone who has never passed the Series 7 says it is a waste of time, trade retail, you...

    PDT Rule & Prop Firms

Get your 7, if this is your profession it pays to have it, even if you choose not to use it. Bright, Echo, and the other registered firms are playing within the rules and are not going anywhere. As the SEC has repeatedly said, the unregistered firms are in their sights, as they should be...

Remove the Pattern Day Trading Rulle - Vote

Be real people, is $25K really that much money? And if it is, there are many firms that will let you trade for much less so long as you educate yourself on what you are doing first, is that really a big hurdle? I think the rule is fine.

    So Frustrating!!!

I agree, I am short too and bummed. But the good news is like you said it should be temporary, not even sure the fed has enough cash to prop it for long at this point.

Remove the Pattern Day Trading Rulle - Vote

Prob is, when idiots lose their wealth - ie: buying homes they can't afford - then the government bails them out with our money and raises taxes. So I am all for not letting idiots lose more money so we do't have to keep bailing people out. The American way should prevail and if people lose...

I would also make sure you have installed the latest BIOS on the motherboard even if it is compatible.

Too much information and you're out!

In 150 years they'll wear an electronic helmet that will read their thoughts and submit orders merely by thinking of a company.... ...only prob is, everytime a hot chick comes on TV they'll buy 10,000 shares of Playboy. :)

India has more billionaires in the top 10 than any other country

I'm a little scared to see what these numbers will look like in 20 years if this keeps up and the dollar keeps sliding.

You read that and just sooo want to be a creditor of theirs and call THEM in the middle of the night and stick it to them. Hope they get their payback for the crap they dished.
