Trader = professinal gambler My response is Private fund manager, since I trade other peoples money as well as my own ... then I bullshit them with some Option pricing theory, they soon drift off... little do they know I trade on yesterdays High, Low and the open and 3 spins of a coin!:p- Kap

How safe are brokerage firms
Good question, there is some protection in the U.K for such a situation following a couple of rogues who took on huge over margined positions and lost BIG, wiping all the other clients out and the firm... scary stuff.. I try to keep my excess to margin requirements as minimal as possible for...- Kap

The dow hitting 9050 and the German Dax taking out yesterdays low of 3365 was mine.... usually would have been liquidity drying up through bar but I was arbing Dax and it was time to cash in. -

Apply at least a 3 to 1 ratio : profit stop:loss stop Can't see you making any headway otherwise... seems as if you were worried "SH*TLESS" about the position.... try trading with a smaller amount so your heart beat is not tied to every tick movement... I've been there too :eek: -

... where was your stop? 1002.25 ?...:eek: :confused: Tip... use 5 minute bars to get in and 15 minute candles to get out, trailin ur stop on the 15 minute candle...lots of squidgy losses and one ALLMIGHTY PROFIT, like today, job done. -

so your shorting all the way up..... not sure how much more you can take... when the market looks at its most bullish you then decide to cut your losses... then it will dump, just like last time... thought you might of learnt by now... well I havn't ...ouch :eek: -
