Best Place to trade in the world - Quality of Life

This is somewhat of an exaggeration, and it should be noted that the set of condos I believe you are referring to are the new Four Seasons (condo-hotel), the developer was Intrawest (the owner of the mountain), and they sold for an avg price of CAD $628k, the highest price unit was CAD $2.3...

Strange though, but it seems to me that a hold time of less than 1 hour is a scalp in the forex market.

    eSignal's $50 Level II Surcharge

No, it is dropping to $20/month for month-to-month too, that's my understanding at least. It was previously $50/month for month-to-month.

    Anyone from Vancouver, Canada?

No...most of the major fires were concentrated around central BC. Here's a list of coastal fires, but nothing major: http://www.for.gov.bc.ca/pScripts/Protect/WildfireNews/index.asp?Page=Fires&FC=2&AllFires=1

The most general appeal would lie in the outdoor lifestyle and the low taxes.

Best Place to trade in the world - Quality of Life

Somebody mentioned this already, but for US citizens, WA state does have a pretty big advantage with no state income tax. It can be an ideal place for a home base as a consequence. Just because you live some place doesn't mean you are always there! :)

Best Place to trade in the world - Quality of Life

This is true, it's the coldest place on my list. :) I speak only a little french, and people were extremely friendly with no attitude about my language skills whatsoever. For working a job, however, the expectation is that one would be bilingual...but not exclusively francophone. Quebec...

Best Place to trade in the world - Quality of Life

Right now, my list is: Whistler, BC or Vancouver, BC - it's beautiful, great people, great weather, great lifestyle. Montreal - the people I have met there were awesome, and it would be interesting for a bit. Have personal reasons too. British Virgin Islands - have not done...

Best Place to trade in the world - Quality of Life

I have lived in Whistler off and on for the last couple of years, and it's a great place to live. The place I bought has doubled in value over the last 2 years, what with the growth of the mountain's popularity...I don't know about buying at the top of the trend, I wait for pullbacks. :D It's...

    Slippage and Size

I realize this is off topic to the thread, but I have to say it: the only problem would be if the people who wrote the software did a poor job. Ask some people who've used it if they've seen lag during volatility...that's the only way to know. I get really irked with the anti-Java comments on...
