Why not? I use it for NQ and it works fantastic. My plan executed through IB puts new shirts and trousers on me when I desire them. I can't imagine it would be any different for ES. :)

Why bother? Just check http://www.interactivebrokers.com/php/tws/systemStatus.php?ib_entity=IB-CA and start TWS when "All IB systems are operating normally."

I use SierraChart with an IB feed and had to use the backfill function for the first time in a while today. I noticed that it is now by the minute now (instead of whatever the lower interval it used to be the last time I used it). When did this change and why? Many thanks, DTK

Get the screen to look exactly the way you want it. Then click 'save as' and call it 'default.cht'. (just leave it in the data folder which is where 'save as' defaults to when you click it) The next time you start up, it will look exactly as you left it.

IB backfills 1 day (to my experience). So if you open your TWS, and Sierra Chart (make sure you have the backfill checkbox marked in 'data source settings" before 4:15pm EST, you should get the entire session. Or you could just have it on all day and wait until you have enough data to trade...
