It really depends on what kind of outside capital you want to attract. If you want Fund of funds or Institutional money forget it. They are not interested with assets so small (even if you had 50% returns for 5 straight yrs , I think woudl be near impossible to attract that kind of investor...

It really depends how you want to get these entitelements. Getting research on your bloomberg, Thompson, or even FC can be expensive. If you dont need all research consolidated, all you need to do is open an account with the brokers and they will give u access via their websight

What's wrong with bloomberg charts? IMO The launchpad charts are better than ESIGNAL and Reuters.

I've been using them on bloomberg for years, and you can get them on Thompson for $325/month. Would like em on e-signal too but seems difficult unless you can write your own code

Texas is the energy capital of this country thus there are tons of energy ( gas, oil, power, etc) traders where I live in Houston. I'm an equity trader and haven't met many others that do what I do here. If there are any equity guys I'm always up for drinks when the market closes!

Does anyone here know a good way to get a group rate on bloomberg terminal? I was paying $1,500 / month with all exchange data though my broker, but they are closing down. An individual subscrption w/ be closer to $2500 I belive. Any thoughts on how to get this group rate again...
