Are you sure about this? When I talked Lightspeed they said even margin accounts are not commingled.

    Account risk

My concern was about my margin account with Lightspeed trading. They do state on their website that all their customer funds are segregated. However, when I called them to confirm, the guy did not even seem to know what "segregated" means! So that didn't help ease my anxiety.

    Cost of building a house

I guess if the contractors base their quote on current housing price then we are not getting a break.

    Cost of building a house

Someone please help me understand this: I know the current housing price is artifically propped up, but why can't I build a new house at lower cost? The materials are cheaper, contractors need work, so building a house should be cheaper than buying one right? Is it true?

    Short fill on sp500 stocks

I didn't expect it take less time to fill. I was just wondering if the fill speed is comparable to long orders of the same size. I'm only talking about market orders. The last time I did substantial amount of shorting was prior to the removal of the uptick rule. I'd like to know if this has...

Who is going SHORT or LONG into the election tomorrow?

I hope the transaction tax does not happen. But if it does, market efficiency will drop due to reduced liquidity. Either new trading opportunities will emerge or old ones becomes more viable to compensate the tax penalty. Theoreticall it should be a wash though I can't prove it.
