Hello Lawrence, Does the TICK reading also help you determine if there was real underlying buying support on an upmove? I have noticed you make some really insightful calls on whether trends are likely to continue or not. How might a TICK indicator help you understand the level of stock...

Nice call to be sure. I traded the first 20 minute morning rush and was hoping for more... Glad I left it alone for the rest of the day. Will we have the same sideways action tomorrow?

So far I see fake outs left & right... and price action from hell. Friday + End of the month.. yuck. I am staying out until 963 supports or 952 resists. I figure I should have clear direction going from there. What's your take on what would provide clear direction?

Argh! The "M" bottom today really put the screw to my head. "Third time's a charm..." (usually). I don't expect M bottom's to hold! There was even a magic tick confirmation. I was short the farm and it blew up in my face. Did not have the gumption to reverse at that point and threw in the...

I used to think TS sucked too... however... I bought a new computer and it solved everything. I do not experience lagging and freezing anymore. TS kicks ass now. I have a Dual Core 3.16 ghz intel w/ 4GB of ram. Try a new comp perhaps?

And then it was really hard to jump back into the position right? Yes i know quite difficult.. I was stopped out at 900 and was crying over the dump down to 870's.

We bounced from the low 50's back to 58 twice! 50 was rather well defended. The dailies are starting to look like a symmetrical triangle. It seems like the 950's level is very sigifnicant. What's your take?

Market has given us quite a run around today! from 980's down to 950's back up to 980's. 40 pt intra-day swings! And we're not even done yet!

I believed! The 11:09am lower low threw me for awhile but I jumped onboard the ADU long train eventually. The day showed former resistances turning into supports predominantly. Thanks for posting! Stone

That's a very nice dragon. The price action of the "head" had no closing bars beneath the back. Great reversal.

Indicators are liars! Support and Resistance Trading for the S&P emini

Thank you for sharing your accumulated knowledge. I agree with you on your points here. What I called "Sideways" and "Chop" on one time frame is the representation of what is an oscillation and range bound movement on another smaller time frame. I suppose that I point that out because I have...

Indicators are liars! Support and Resistance Trading for the S&P emini

My two cents on the potential value of inspecting volume. If observing prices trapped in a price range, prices often poke out of the range but are immediately rejected and thrown back into the range. If you were deciding whether or not a "breakout" is going to be real, volume can be very...

This has been some of the most volatile markets I have ever seen. The combination of the break of many technical levels, constant and ever-changing government actions and announcements as well as a general state of panic has made this a very difficult time to trade. I find it necessary to cut...

Indicators are liars! Support and Resistance Trading for the S&P emini

To clarify, you are saying that the runup on late Friday had very poor liquidity and that the bull run into the close had very little substance behind it. I happened to be long TY bonds on Friday afternoon and was dissapointed to see them sell off into the close... I was then shocked to see...

Seems like there was a huge down move at the close yesterday that could have been due to margin calls as previously mentioned and mutual fund liquidations. I was reviewing the cash charts for $inx/$spx and it seems like any intra day chart will show you that we closed well above 1106 yet...

I am rather surprised not to see a larger pop this evening on the Sunday 6pm ES market. We're in a range between 1216.50 and a fake at 1221.25. I would think that the agreement being hammered out this weekend would have been quite bullish.
