wow...really glad i was out at yesterdays open!!!

i just watched the full report on bloomberg. very well thought out. I agree in general with what he said. I am looking for an immediate term correction (within the next several months...and then a resumption of longer term growth in new sectors and countries.

i covered OIH and XLE at the open today. No i didnt see the drop coming today...but happy with the results...looking for another long entry.

QQQQ has been in a downtrend since late november tough guy.

I am doing some of my end of the week screening...and i think it was a sypmathy play from china and other asian nations. Toyota held support today...i am staying in.

XLE also has a doji formation as well. For the bounces i am also looking to China... LFC was an old favorite of mine that i sold long ago. i have it on the watch list again.

haha..thanks. I call a "dead cat" something else.... dead cat is when something drops to almost zero (like a biotech firm that didnt get FDA approval or something) and goes from .15 to .1.50 temporarily. I would call my play more of stalling on support....sure wnough...OIH just made a new...

I agree especially wiht a 100k trading portfolio. If someone is quite big or an import/export biz..than that type of hedging makes more sense.

They have dropped a ton on high volume (exhustion)..and are sitting at support. My williams %r indicator shows over sold and creeping back up. i am in.

depends on many things. I would say OVERALL it is a lousy strategy in a bull market. in a bull you are better off following the biggest losers for a bounce on resistence after an exhaustion rally to the downside. I would say what you are doing right now would be a 1 way trip to...

these type of things dont really define price moves. any new product/idea speculation is already priced in. products obviously DO matter...but with due respect, your view of the action/reaction displays a lack of experience. The price pop last week was due to Steve Jobs being pardoned...

i am as bear as they come....but by my measures....many stocks (not all indices) have already pulled back a bit in the last few weeks. goog-off about 11% qqqq-off about 4.4% just to name a few. i dunno. cautious...but i wouldnt be surprised to see a move either way.
