Poll: How much $ do you on Trading tools and resources monthly?

$100 to $200 is too high. I spend $9/mo on SierraCharts plus my cable connection. Less than $50 all told.

    Look Ma, no indicators!!

What causes the price to change is the willingness of one side or the other to meet the price that's on the table. The quantity in and of itself is not necessarily relevant, though it can be.

A transaction is reflected in price. A "pending" order is not. Do you have evidence to support your last statement?

    Look Ma, no indicators!!

If prices were driven more by sell orders -- supply -- than by buy orders -- demand (or the reverse), then this is a restatement of what I just said. As for future movement being influenced by pending orders, not unless a transaction takes place, which is a further manifestation of the...

    Look Ma, no indicators!!

Makes even more sense to judge S/D by the effect of trading activity (volume) on price and by the movement of price itself.

    Look Ma, no indicators!!

You might have a point if everyone were using the same MAs and the same MA settings and the same MACD settings and understood what all of it was measuring. Otherwise, demonstrating that any of this has anything to do with supply and demand would be a difficult task.

There's an entire forum at t2w devoted to PV (a sub-forum under TA): http://www.trade2win.com/boards/forumdisplay.php?f=158

    Removing Personal Bias

I don't know about "exercises", but the first question you have to ask yourself is whether or not you care what the result of the trade is. If you do, then ask yourself why. Perhaps you have not yet accepted the fact of loss, that not every trade is going to be a winner, that whatever you feel...

How to be a good VENDOR on ET

Exactly. Teaching someone how to develop a trading system is distinct from teaching somebody how to trade, particularly if the "teacher" is teaching his own system. There are a number of good sources for learning how to create a system. But before I go to the time and trouble and...

Actually, they are, more or less. But they don't all see the same thing.

    the basic assumption of TA

It's hindsight only if you don't know what to look for. Simple principles applied consistently will help the trader see what's in front of him rather than what he wants to be there. If you'd like to post a chart of Enron at its top, I'll be happy to show you what I'm talking about.

    the basic assumption of TA

You're beginning with some assumptions about the purpose of TA that are not necessarily true. However, if you're looking for further reading, I suggest The Disciplined Trader and Trading in the Zone, both by Douglas.

    Enforcing Discipline

This may be the problem. Do you just "feel" that it works? Or do you "know" that it works? If the latter, what do you mean by "know"? You say you read Douglas, but did you go through the process he detailed? Did you define and test your setup? Did you forward-test it? Paper trade it? Do you...

    Proflogic method - successful?

I'm more concerned about the "jackpeople" who went bust . . . If spydertrader is successful, his success most likely has much more to do with spydertrader than it does with "the method".
