Hi trader28 In the 2 min chart when the MACD MA crosses above the zero line do you initiate a buy when the fast line is above the zero line or will you wait for both the fast and slow lines to be above the zero line before initiating a long ?

When the 2 min MACD MA crosses above the zero line, the faster line will cross first, does this signal a long ? Or do both the fast and slow MA lines need to cross above the zeroline before initiating a long ?

So as a beginner using this method would you advise that it is probably better to only go for buys in this scenario and ignore all sells, conversely if 10 min MACD is bearish, below the zero line then stick to sells ?

If the MACD 10 min MA has crossed and is above the zeroline, you will still go for both buys and sells on the 2 min chart if the criteria is met ? You just use the 10 min MACD to judge the strength of the move ?

Thanks for the quick reply, on the 10 min MACD, if it is above the zero line will you only go for buy trades on your 2 min chart and conversely only sell trades if the 10 min MACD is below the zero line ?

Hi trader28 Thanks for posting, do you think this method would be suitable for YM ? Also, if you get in a buy trade and 2 min MACD MA has crossed and above the zeroline, then a few minutes later crosses below the zeroline do you reverse the trade immediately or do you wait ? Thanks
