    grain spreaders

Yes, X-F is pretty well the only "tame" bean spread there is. If you want a little action, but nothing insane, look to the X9-H0.

    grain spreaders

for myself, I have actually switched back to trading outright Nov beans exclusively as opposed to the spreads...won't be back in those until fall likely, as the major moves in old/new have happened. Also doing some light meal/oil spreading, and I expect to do a little crushing within the next...

HELP PLEASE-Where are my contracts ?

watch out before clearing those contracts out on Ninja....I had this same problem but with another broker, and on a TT data feed. In my case though, it showed a position that never existed, and I just assumed I had fat fingered an order, and closed it out....which resulted in a NEW, ACTUAL...

    RANOrder - Quotes

I use DTN...it reports the last "posted" bid or offer, but like I said, those are mostly stale, except in the case of SP or bonds, or something else very high volume for all of the day. Your best bet is either having someone down there, or just know where you want to be. Options are even...

    RANOrder - Quotes

your best bet is to have a data provider seperate than RAN...just use RAN for the order entry. Then you can get both last price and current bid/offer...although often those are "stale" in most pit markets.

China Buying then selling in same week

look at the price though that they are offering at....well above mkt price, so while they are offering, I doubt that sale goes through unless we start getting a decent rise in the bean complex.

    Corn, Beans

I think you are forgetting that a lot of spread activity still occurs down there from some very big names, and you still get some big orders coming in down there...although mostly MOOs and MOCs.

Cotton - Front month very light volume

yea...only thing tame in the beans is X/F! haha!

Cotton - Front month very light volume

Q/U is boring...get out there and trade the Q/X! haha! But true...this year there is decent action in the old/news especially given the current tight supplies. I was just meaning that you want to trade the "key" months on there own rather than the "skip" months. ANY month works great in a...

Cotton - Front month very light volume

Heech, The only contracts you want to pay attention to in cotton are H, N, and Z, same with the grains (except substitute X for Z on beans and rice). Unless spreading, stay out of those other months.

    Spreadtrading software?

Syn: I do use it, and I chart quite a few grain and meat spreads (inter and intra mkt) and also seasonals. It does a very good job on all of these, plus if you use a lot of tick charts (I use those too), it doesn't pull all that many resources. Price is very competitive compared to...

What do you see grain prices in the next 12 months

next 12 months...hmmm..I dont usually speculate out that far. $3.00 corn (with spikes down to 2.50), $7 beans (yes I know...a little higher than the normal bean/corn ratio), $4 Wheat, and $10 rice...hell if I know on the sugar Btw....if you are trading DBA, don't concern yourself with any...

    Commodity Trading Advisor = Oxymoron?

ok...as an independent commodity TRADER (grains and meats) I make money. Just because you can't make money doesn't mean someone else cant. My TRADING performance is many multiples times better than my investing performance....I guess short term just fits my "style" and personality...

    meats

ah...even so...very well laid out analysis. I remember a posting you did many months ago on forecasting the days close....you've done some very nice work. Do you work exclusively with the fats?

    grain spreaders

hold on a bit...you'll probably get a second chance tomorrow...we have the big bean numbers come out on friday...that should help set the tone on these final old/new spreads.

    meats

I agree...my forecast is similar to yours...although I'm not calling for 75...my stuff showing 77-79 as the bottom...but in complete agreement on direction.

Trading Curbs In The Oil Pits

I do both...I use the futures to hedge the crops and cattle my farm produces...but in all reality, my "day job" if you will isn't farming...its trading...so yes, I am a speculator mostly. Have two seperate accounts...one hedge, one spec. By the way...where would the regulation stop? If...
