After the 1st leg up do you sell or hold?

I am having a dilemma on what to do after the 1st leg up. Do I sell or do I hold? I used to sell and the stock would go up a 2nd leg and I would kick myself for not staying in the trade. After all don't they say "let your winners run". So today I decided to do the reverse and hold after the 1st...

Why Is The Obvious Not So Obvious II?

This is a common interview question for software jobs :) You ask one guard what the other guard would say is the door to freedom and then you pick the other door. This is a question of double negation logic. -(-x) = +x

What are the questions you ask yourself in order to eliminate false positives?

I mean a setup could have all the looks of a good entry except for that one factor or small detail that makes it a false positive. How do you filter those out?

What are the questions you ask yourself in order to eliminate false positives?

I realize for experienced traders it might be second nature and may not be doing it consciously but I am curious what are the questions you ask yourself before getting into a trade in order to eliminate false positives?

Has trading made you more spiritual?

Do not support any organized religion! Like I said organized religion was designed to scam and control the masses and extract money from them. It is no surprise that the leaders of organized religion are filty rich. The Pope lives in a castle with gold plated furniture! Same for other religions...

Has trading made you more spiritual?

I don't equate spirituality with the Bible. You can be spiritual without following any man made religion which was designed to capitalize on the masses. In order to be successful at trading you have to think outside the box, take the less beaten path and not follow the group thinking. The same...

Is there a benefit to paper trading?

I use Robin Hood. I wouldn't use it to trade size but for a new trader learning to execute trades as per their strategy it is great!

Has trading made you more spiritual?

I started out trading just so that I can make enough money to quit the corporate slavery. However, what I have found is the existence of preciseness, accuracy and detail that is similar to the physical laws in the natural world. Which is something I never expected to find because the markets...

Does anyone else feel sleepy while trading?

Thank you for all the tips! I go to bed between 12 and 1 am. But I will try going to bed earlier. And I will make sure I have a healthy breakfast like eggs and toast. I usually exercise on the weekends because there is no time on weekdays. Thanks for all the suggestions!

Does anyone else feel sleepy while trading?

No I don't have health problems and I am not overweight. That's me in my picture. I am skinny. I don't have the time to exercise or eat breakfast in the morning. The market opens @ 6:30 am. There is barely enough time for anything in the morning. But I will try to have breakfast and see how I feel.

Anybody that is a stock trader that would like to voice chat with me during trading hours? Being able to give running commentary about the market and my trades might help me stay awake :-)

Does anyone else feel sleepy while trading?

The monotonous nature of trading makes me sleepy. Around 10am Pacific time I start to feel sleepy. I don't want to use stimulants like coffee. I need psychological help! Any suggestions would be appreciated. Does anyone else feel sleepy while trading?

Is there a benefit to paper trading?

This thread has already been resolved. I don't know why you are still responding. I already posted that my solution is to reduce my position size from 3k to 1k. That is my dollar level threshold and I am happy with that. Cheers.

Is there a benefit to paper trading?

I disagree trade size should be based on the losses you can stomach or the dollar level that will set you over the edge and make you emotional. @lescor stated it nicely here : IMO, the number one trait that makes a good trader a great trader is the ability to let go of a mental attachment to...
