Starting at a day-trading firm soon

Sounds like a lousy deal...generally good firms have solid reputations that have decent traders working under them. Someone 'advertising' on craigslist seems very shady or at the very best amateurish, so i'd be really concerned about their 'success' rates. If they can't prove there are...

    Vlo

Indestructible...? The stock's already battered at the low end of the 52 wk. range. The forward P/E is 6.36 with a P/B under 1...how much lower do you think it can drop?

Does Any Firm Offer Licensed Traders More than 2-1 Leverage on Overnight Positions

Haircuts are a normal part of the game but you have to be smart in how much you're willing to pay from expected gains...when i first started pairs i nearly bleed my account to death because I was constantly holding 20 times or more with a small account on dead capital that wasn't going...

    Fertilizer stocks out of favor

There are different valuations for sure; i find POT and MOS to be the most overvalued compared to AGU and CF. I find in this type of market the smart money likes the commodity-related stocks with the highest earnings and biggest market caps, hence these companies have the most 'oversold'...

    Fertilizer stocks out of favor

Nicely done! I'm quite confident this sector will make me a millionaire and I know of several other traders that trade these pairs very profitably (much more so than I)...conversely there's other traders that blew out their accounts.

    Fertilizer stocks out of favor

I've netted thousands of dollars on the year trading these stocks, i guess that's funny to a guy who doesn't trade.

    Fertilizer stocks out of favor

I'm sure you don't even trade so i don't know why i'm bothering with this reply...but when the the price of products these companies are selling continues to increase per unit, leading to higher and higher revenues and earnings, these companies will not slow down and are definitely not in a...

I don't mind if these guys all come down a bit, less capital i'm using. :)

    Another Tuco Update

So have Tuco traders been twisting in the wind this whole time? Here's hoping everything gets sorted out sooner than later...

Im going long on FannieMae FNM

I got out of my FNM...took a $3 gain, it's not worth it to hold that position one-sided when i can trade the spread intraday over and over.

Im going long on FannieMae FNM

I bought in at 7.41 FNM today a few hundred shares....nothing much if it goes to zero but i sure hope it doesn't, i've locked in 4K this week trading the FNM/FRE spread...great intraday scalping opportunity!

    who owns these firms

You should remember the Bright's are family owned, didn't your law school sister tell you that....ahahahaha.

    coal stock r punished

Well at least with some of the potash companies they've blasted through earnings expectations...how many times have we seen CF/AGU/MOS/POT crush expectations? Maybe we'll see it in a few weeks with the coals, however if they show week earnings expect a thick, juicy, delicious sell-off.

    coal stock r punished

I agree there's great trading opportunities out there in coal...even though i think they're retarded over-valued.

Prop Trading Firms in Toronto, Ontario

Don't you have an open thread about quitting trading? I don't see how you're in any position to offer advice.

    Prop Traders - Supplemental Income

And for the guys saying people should quit their jobs because they wouldn't be totally focused on trading is one of the dumbest things i've ever heard on ET (and that's saying A lot!).

    Prop Traders - Supplemental Income

I had a number of side jobs, but the main I had for a few years was working as a hotel bellman. Eventually my trading became consistent enough so that the pittance I earned from the job was very insignificant to what I was earning (or in rare cases losing :)) on any given day.
