    add to a losing positon

at the risk of sounding like a broken record: "Adding to Winners": low %win, high $Avewin:$Aveloss "Adding to Losers": high %win, low $Avewin:$Aveloss woo-hoo i really prefer one strategy over the other knowing that... Q1

    add to a losing positon

Isn't the appropriate way to look at this to take into account the full universe of possible edges that match the formula: %Win * $AveWin - %Loss*$AveLoss - Comms > 0 That's the only fixed rule a profitable trader needs to worry about. Everything else is hearsay. Q1 :)

    Macfutures rumours

LRD, OK in retrospect using the word "just" in my post was unecessarily pejorative. From your Rotter/spoofing involvement I know you work for reputable publications. Good luck uncovering more. Q1

    unbelievable results

the results do not include "open positions" read the bit under "Defensive Strategy": they basically hold positions until they become profitable - in other words the open position losses could be large. so, in my view the closed position results they give are entirely feasible its just that...

Did my first 100 lot today

electron, trading 20/40 lots in the bund/bonds/es is not easy without consistency. for me i'd guess Cutten is there already: its moving up that he's finding harder... there are no "rules" for personal growth... peace, Q1
  17. Q

Did my first 100 lot today

Cutten, most of the responses to your trade are pretty idiotic aren't they? as a 20/40 lot bund trader you're more than good enough to know what you're doing...if jolting your psychology through a size barrier buy scaling up 5 times is the way to do it for you then that's fine! some...

    Eurex cancellation fee

I believe the eurex rule was that a member (ie not customer) would be charged cancellations fees for the extent to which their cancellations exceeded their fills by an order of more than 5:1. I just tried to check the place in the Eurex documents where I previously read this but could not...

    Low inflation myth

I read a short analysis of this recently from a big bank. Apparently the 2 key elements of core CPI which are keeping it low are: - rents - used cars This is interesting because the deflation in these items is probably directly caused by low interest rates (low rates cause people to be...
