If you care to learn just a bit of Wealth Lab language you can use their website to perform backtests. They will give you a trade report, stats, etc. It would be a very good place to start.

CEF is a gold and silver fund which holds the actual commodity but it trades at a high premium. There are also emini Gold futures and full size Gold futures. Depending on your size one of those three options should work for you.
