My current is in upwards of $3 M.. a good part of my fund is my own with some great appreciation.. .that's why the starting NAV of investor money is not a good gauge.

There is a best IVY LEAGUE school (but, I now realize that you wouldn't know..) & the numbers (my current NAV) could not be pinpointed due to some strategies I use (illiquid). :)

The BEST one. When I was there, I didn't appreciate it as much as I do now. But, some of the things I've learned there and experienced were just invaluable.

I have a Masters in Taxation. Thus, the way I have my fund organized is completely different from a traditional hedge fund set up to be able to take advantage of the tax laws. Cannot exactly pinpoint the exact amount due to my liberal use of margin. But, approaching ~$3 Million.

Currently, most of my investors are my friends, family and those in the community. I hope to expand on it as I get more operating licenses for other different states etc, and also as the word spreads about my performance.

Please split it up.. & no pointed questions about fund strategies or my personal life. I'll try to ask questions that I think are invading my privacy as generally as possible. I think the questions that will be of the most benefit to our community would be questions relating to making money...

Since when is running a hedgefund required work experience ?? Just off of my memory, I can recall 5 fund managers who never worked in a corporate job and now are the largest shareholders of couple of companies. :D

I work at a Private Equity firm, and the partners allowed me to use my office as my own start up hedge fund office.

I always called it "Assets Under Management", but I guess I wasn't the one who invented shorting it to just AUM. But, I like it since it is much shorter and convenient to use.

What exactly is AUM ?? (is that your original question ??)

In addition to my Ivy League undergraduate degree, I have 3 master's degrees as well. I am a fan of Mr. Timmy Sykes because he send me his book, as well as this DVD course for free for me to review. As far as I'm concerned, Mr. Timmy Sykes is an outstanding and upstanding citizen of our money...
