    Prop Trader Contract sample

Have your friend interview at a couple of prop firms with contracts, and take a copy to get an idea. Otherwise, if he doesn't know how to do this already, no one is going to help him on this board, since most likely the guys that do run firms aren't about to spill their beans. The lawyer...

    Hold Brothers Buyout?

Didn't see this thread. The guys that were there at the closed door meeting were big traders from another firm looking to get a clearing deal with Hold. How do I know, I know the traders that were there. As for being bought out, I know they've tried in the past, but at this point I think they...

$2000 - what to look for?

Your time frame to become profitable is absolutely unreasonable for the current market. The best trainees will take about six months to start making money, otherwise your potentially looking at a year. On top of that, your throwing to much pressure about your 2K. Believe me when I tell you...

    desk fees...black box...

If you're doing less then I'd say 10K a day in volume, then your desk fee should be around $500. Otherwise, definately over 25K a day, you shouldn't be paying a desk fee at all. Look around most prop firms won't charge you a desk fee.

Most writers that recommend stocks, after they've gotten popular underperform the market. The reason for this is too many people buying or selling at the same time. When Smith first started he had a limited following and a very limited amount of shares chasing the same stock. Now that he's...

Yeh, the charts work correctly now. It seems the CD they sent me with my trial package was bad. I got the new CD today, and all is well. Thanks everyone for checking on the charts for me.

Smith is a straight technician. His method is as simple as they come. He buys or sells, breakouts or breakdown, moves through moving averages, channels, etc... There's is absolutely no complexity to what he does. What you need to learn is how to exit with a profit, and how to pick the buy or...

I read the delayed version of his posts. The delayed version used to be a couple of days, now it seems it's a couple of months. I use his writings more to improve my own technical analysis rather then for picks. He has a very simple basic approach, and I like that. The simpler the better...

He provides the entry point, his loss cut is a close below the buy point, the only thing he doesn't provide is how to take profits. But to figure that out, you need to watch the price volume action of the stock.

Has anyone else noticed that the TCNET for certain symbols are all messed up. Do me a favor and let me know if the chatys for CRY, CEDC, & RLI on your TCNET, match Yahoo or some other services. I compared the charts to Yahoo and IBD, and the TCNET one's were way off.
