Is anything wrong with this picture?

It's ok with me, yes. We are not starting with 15$ oil, and this is not 2002. Commodities are moving higher, no arguing that and oil is a commodity. Perhaps Asian demand, I don't know but CRB is obviously still in an uptrend so... I see $100USD oil on the horizon again. I just trade what I see...

Is anything wrong with this picture?

I think everything points to recession end/early recovery, except of course the T-bond prices. I would sell any significant bond rally moving forward; everything else seems ok given the externals. jmho

Did I get screwed by IB today ?

Yes, I have something like this, with a dual WAN. Might I also suggest that an emergency (farther away) stop be submitted to IB to be held on their servers and then canceled after the local stop is executed. This has worked well for me for some time.

    Corn delivery

You should have somewhere at the exchange where the commodity is traded, a specification of what the physical good is. In physicals it will be a range of quality defined that all count as the same thing, usually delivered to a specific place.

"Eruditely," of course. Is that urban dictionary for coupled, dick to ass? Just checking.

    Definitely stupid. No doubt.

    Getting taken by wheat

I'd say so. The strategy generally has a very small stop associated with it, which allows for a comparatively large position size, yielding a large win. It unfortunately comes with a lower likelihood of winning, however. Oh, and you must ride the eventual winner for all it's worth. I am quick to...

Computer running at 100% CPU Usage and not sure why

Yes, but is this after the OEC has been cycled? If you boot the machine and do not open OEC, does the problem happen at all? I found that even after the app was closed, the machine was partly hosed until re-booted. The app is completely stable on the other machine.

Computer running at 100% CPU Usage and not sure why

Here's something that is just fyi; I don't know how it might help. I am running OEC as well. Both the last version and this new version have problems on a dual processor AMD machine I have. They appear to have a wild pointer that hoses this machine; I have put their s/w into a debug...

    Getting taken by wheat

You are taking very aggressive entries. This strategy requires deep pockets, and you have to cut and run some (unknown) number of times until you pick the top. It usually pays off, but never forget the basics of what you are doing. Don't let a loser run away on you, or the expectation may...

'An American Hedge Fund' Reviewed on DJ Newswire

Yeah, I know it's very weird that someone is hyping a trading book that (at least on the cover) seems to indicate the great story of how a hedge fund was/is formed, while timing the release of the book to coincide with the apparent demise of said fund. None-the-less, he did throw out that...

'An American Hedge Fund' Reviewed on DJ Newswire

Not sure if you are sincere or sarcastic--not that it matters to me--but I will say that it was pretty thin right around my entry. I had a devil getting in a thousand at that price; the first five went but I had to work it a bit to get the other 5 in. Not gonna make anyone rich without something...

Hey Tim, while you are hanging around, thanks for that heads up on the crappy Chinese steel play. shorted at 11.61 a couple three days ago whatever and had a stop at 11.66; it sunk like 3 bucks before I closed it so easy money... Thanks again Edit--just looked and it's down another buck from...

    Robbins World Cup E-mini Contest

How is that better?? I am talking straight cash, the most wins all the rest. Your idea has too many ways out. How many er2=ES=corn?? I frankly don't give a shit. But at the end of the month, the largest account takes all the rest. I like those stakes, and no wiggle room. That's important...

    Robbins World Cup E-mini Contest

Hmmpf. Well, I just found this thread looking for something else but here is a thought. Now, I hope I am not breaking any ET rules. So, looking at the "Challenge", frankly it isn't very attractive; in fact, it looks like a likely way to generate commission revenue for Robbins. And the cash...
