The reason I ask is because I hear so many complaints about FX brokers "screwing" people over. No doubt some are up to some shady things, but for the most part I think it's nothing more than an excuse for people to use for their poor trading.

Thanks for the good response. I agree that JPY is quite noisy on the daily chart but I do trade quite a bit in it. I'd say EUR/JPY also has a lot of noise, and out of the rest of the markets I trade, those 2 take that title.

I'm not trying to start an argument, rather a discussion. I have a basic understanding of leverage, but mine has always been the same and I don't think that will change.

If you had read the thread, you may have noticed that I have been trading it for some time now.

Still hoping someone will have some insight as to whether or not Forex is more difficult to trade than other markets, and if so why? If not, I'll go away.

I don't have much interest in options but thanks anyway. As far as futures go, I've traded them on the Euro. I think the difficulty level between the futures and the EUR/USD is about equal, I can't imagine how it could be anything else. That goes for my style, maybe not a shorter-term one.
