It's best to put on positions during the morning and be closed out by 11am ET to better be able to have a balanced life. After taking profits for the day I often head for the links or the boat. Ocassionally a light workout is good, before settling in for my afternoon book.

I think you are right Jay. I have well over 5K available that I could lose and not be affected. Perhaps I'll just start with 1 YM contract and work from there.

How can one best utilize their time during the day while at corporate employment to further their progress towards becoming a full-time independent trader? What types of activites should be carried out other than actual trading assuming that isn't possible during the business day?
