Your default generic Wall St news website?

Money talks! Price charts! Most accurate news source on earth. I’ve got a screen set up with the following price charts: - Gold spot - Silver spot - $SPY (sometimes sector etfs too) - EUR/USD - USD/JPY - Oil futures - CPI - Maybe a foreign index if I’m curious (FTSE, DAX, etc) - On another...

    I will make 100 % every month

You pay a fee for shorting… you know that, right? An annual fee and some origination fees. I believe IB it’s 4%? I haven’t checked in a while… but these fees can chip away at your capital. Look at inverse funds to gain exposure to plunges and avoid these fees. Like this one...

My experience: GOOG from powerhouse to worthless in 2 weeks.

I always thought that getting 1000000000000 search results was pointless. ChatGPT seems to be more accurate in returning the information I’m looking for. it tends to waffle on any questions that require it to take any sides, which basically make it a next-gen Google. They need to introduce...

    Inflation/Recession Trade

Ty… this syncs with my read on bond market fed rates: the cranking they did in the past year will come to “bear” in 2024. The only thing that scares me is that it’s an election year in the US. Recall the $hit$how in 2020!!! :vomit: non-professional - not licensed to give professional advice

    Inflation/Recession Trade

Of the 11 S&P sectors, the best place to be in times of recession is Pharma, because people have to keep taking their medicines. What do you think is the _worst_ sector to be in? Travel? Airline? What will get crushed by the pending recession? The Fed dumped Trillions of QE into the economy...

    overtrading

Great question… I have struggled with this myself. There are different schools of thought: 1. Leverage up. Moving for you? Double down! 2. Clearly define exit. My professor would say up 10%? Take your profits and move on. 3. [Harder] If you really want to do it right, do what the pros do. Read...

Is there a book on bond trading that is an absolute must-read? The “Reminiscences of a Stock Operator” for the bond markets. Ty, Keith :^)

    I will make 100 % every month

My first thought was that you will go bankrupt, and “blow out” your account. You will have to take on an enormous amount of risk: one bad move against you, and you’re busted. 100% per month? Annualized (12 months), simply doubling every month(m) with reinvestment, that’s a factor of 2^m...

Goldman Marcus as ACH funding source for Brokerage account?

I’ve had two different checking accounts hooked up to IB, and ACH transfers work well with no fees. There are a couple downsides: 1. 4-day holding period. Funds are credited thereafter. For reliable clients they waive it, but if you mess up a deposit (like Yours Truly) they make you wait. It’s...

Goldman Marcus as ACH funding source for Brokerage account?

Anyone have any success setting this up? Specifically, using a Goldman Marcus account as a funding source for a brokerage deposit/withdrawal. Seems like a good place for short-term investment of small amounts of cash that must be liquid, or a place to save enough for purchase of a bond.
