I have a call on GLD. That is my only bullish position. I am certainly not prepared to predict I will take a bullish position on anything like QQQ at this time.

Actually it was my wife who did it but I am pretty sure she did it all through the website. Experience level was where she got into trouble at first.

I was initially denied with TDA but then I reapplied, with the appropriate lies, and got approved.

I called TDA Friday evening. They had restricted my account but removed the flag. I overnighted them a check this morning to bring my account to comfortably over the $25k limit. I have no idea what the reasoning would be for a rule like that.

Looking for advice and input here before I call TDA tonite. My account balance is just less than $25k. What are the chances they will actually restrict my account? What I have been doing is buying and selling options contracts, usually in the same day, apparently with too much frequency...

No. Selling a call obligates you to sell the UL at the strike price. Selling a put obligates you to buy the UL at the strike price. Do you understand the meaning of the word "obligate?" Do those seem like neutral strategies to you? Like I said previously, I am an options trading newb...

Selling a put obligates you to buy the UL. Tread carefully if you go there. If you think the price will go down, BUY a put. My newb advice is don't be selling anything until you know way more than you appear to know now.

I have done well on SPY today with a call. Also in QQQ with a call. I didn't get into that until I was out of SPY and may have waited too long. Such is life.

It looks like NFLX has stabilized today. I would think that generally speaking, a price increase would be looked at favorably by the market.
