easyrider, I would say an average loss for me is around .25 or less. ddefina, I will take a look at your 30 minute bar suggestion. I currently use 10 minute bars for entries... Good stuff...

When I say hold onto the position all day I am talking about a position that is in the money. I try not to let winning trades turn into losers. Just trying to maximize my winners... Very good suggestions so far. Leland

I am trying to come up with some way to stay with my winning positions longer. I do a real good job of cutting my losers quickly but have been having trouble staying with my winners. I daytrade and am flat at the end of the day. I am not really a scalper as I tend to look for .50 (usually 1.00)...

I was wondering if anyone here is daytrading the SPY and/or the BBH? I find the QQQ to be too fast for me:) The nice thing about these instruments is that you can short on a downtick. Just wondering if anyone out there is daytrading either one of these? Leland

When daytrading I will normally put the entire position on all at once. Sometimes I will scale out though. Occasionally I will add to my winning positions if I feel real strongly about the trade... Leland

Don, In what way does REDI+ broadcast this information? Can you pull up a market minder and have it give you a list of stocks that are indicated to open up or down "X" amount? What about the NYSE's Institutinal Express? Know anything about that? Leland
