    Buy at bid

Thank you. But that probably means $1,500/month for the software, expensive data feed, and hosting for extra bandwidth. For that matter, RTS software as well.

QQQQ trend change? Instead of shorting...

I was surprised to see that QQQQ in-the-money put options go for almost NO time premium; this seems to me as an ongoing situation, even for later months, including LEAPS for whatever reason.

    Buy at bid

I am close to hiring a programmer to program for me software to buy equity options at the bid and to sell same at the ask (moving with the stock price according to the delta). Before I finalize...does anyone know of such software out in the market, (sophisticated and inexpensive, no need full...

Danger of IB? True or False?

To: Nonprophet and fellow Elite Traders, cc: Def I was told the following information: A) The IB auto-liquidate looks for the leg which causes the biggest margin problem first, and does not just randomly dump your positions. If this is so, one's ability to be there at the opening puts...

    Historical Equity Options Database

BTW, be careful with historical options information; you might begin to think you can beat the sytem, and then in the end you might find out it was a non-standard option, or there would be an underlying dividend obligation, etc.

Proposed Changes to Cash Dividend Adjustment Policies

Good comments. Is it really so that the exchanges/ OCC would be impartial (and not look at open interest and time value of the calls and puts) to determine whether or not the dividend will be deemed ordinary? It would seem to me that if this will not be challenged by anyone (like Metooxx) it...

Proposed Changes to Cash Dividend Adjustment Policies

The OCC is owned and run by the exchanges (ISE, CBOE, etc.). I wonder what that means in regards to the hope we are being looked after.

Proposed Contract Adjustment Changes To Eliminate Rounding - Revised

You mention very important concerns. Seemingly, there will be many uninformed who will be making mistakes. People who trade options must patiently review these changes and understand them well.

Danger of IB? True or False?

Thank you for returning to the scene. I agree that it is a good sign that customers have not complained about late exercises, and I hope it never happens (albeit I think IB would benefit everyone by not leaving lingering uncertainties). However, customers have yes complained miserably on the...

Danger of IB? True or False?

I don't know why IB does not want to help us with answers, as it would stand to benefit many customers to get more specifications. Should people not be offered a phone number by IB if they know they will not be able to handle an assignment at the very beginning of the day but have spread...

Danger of IB? True or False?

Update: Have meanwhile found out of a contact and phone number at IB where under certain conditions they may agree to not have your account to go into auto-liquidate after 10 minutes. It seems to me this contact is not available to the typical customer.

    Broker Comparison for options:

I am trying to do a full comparison of pro's/con's of the various online brokers for option traders, a bit similar to the Barron's online broker survey, only here for option traders. Please share any information you may have about various brokers who: 1) offer price improvement 2) offer...

Danger of IB? True or False?

When you say on a case by case basis, does that mean in a case of late reported assignments it would NOT go on auto-liquidate, and rather there is a thinking mind at the scene? IF the latter, will IB ever reformulate the e.g. condor or butterfly etc. or will is their orientation liquidating...
