Genesis: best speed and price combo?

I posed this question on another Genesis thread http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&postid=1014122#post1014122 and someone responded that he believes there is no comparison; would like to know if anyone disagrees.

This one's beyond me. But if you want me to stay low, I can honor your request.

Unfair Timber Hill charge for IB-unbundled pricing

Jim, The last point I made had nothing to do with my partner's case either--which was a midday liquidation. It had to do a bit with Bitstream's point. I appreciate you didn't come into this thread with a negative IB sentiment, and I did (which would vanish the moment they speak with us to the...

Unfair Timber Hill charge for IB-unbundled pricing

Bitstream, There are hundreds or thousands of liquidations per day done at market. Think how many would customers would be saved from damage if 60 minutes instead of 10 minutes was given from the opening bell! Would IB's risk factor increase in any way to give customers that extra time...

Jimrockford: you have made a valuable contribution to Elite Trader. Can anyone make a sensible retort to ggoom, or is everyone speechless?

Genesis: best speed and price combo?

Any retail firm comparable to Genesis in terms of speed and price (i.e. for those who trade stock in volume)? ...not necessarily automated trading.

If IB's Website Contains Falsehoods, Customers are SOL

    1. Robbing Hood stole from the rich and gave to the poor. Did you see IB's balance sheet before concluding they are a charity case? 2. Robbing Hood was the first Communist. 3. Robbing Hood violated the 10 commandments, and the "seven noahide laws".

    Open spread order book

I saw with my own eyes OXP spread book includes orders that are placed on the IB platform! You are right that TOS says it is only their own orders. I would be interested to know if any other broker has a spread order book.

Apologies. In your PM box to me on Feb 16 you said "I have designed and was thinking of proposing a new auto-liquidation algorithm to incorporate the lessons learned from your case". I had assumed you did something.

Similarly, the smart route costs option traders money each month for cancellations because it keeps routing to CBOE?? and it seems IB is constantly filled to the brink with CBOE cancellations. Why can't it be routed elsewhere and save us all the charges? Does IB get some benefit by routing to...

My apologies, but if you have a better suggestion than who we have contacted in IB, we are game. Ready for a PM?

Unfair Timber Hill charge for IB-unbundled pricing

There is nothing more unprofessional then not talking to the point. The "expert" saw it was not necessary to handle my partner's problem because of all the deviations, and therefore didn't; they did not pay, and did not even feel they had to offer an explanation. Plus they know they have...

    Open spread order book

Maybe someone can help me: Are OXP and TOS the only two retail brokers with an open spread order book?

Unfair Timber Hill charge for IB-unbundled pricing

Jimrockford, you are 100% right. With other retail firms, you can discuss the pro's and con's openly and get the support and assistance of others--but for some reason not with IB; if you mention a problem or abuse about IB, you suddenly get a whole team of people trying to tackle you instead...

If IB's Website Contains Falsehoods, Customers are SOL

If enjoyment is really your ONLY reason, then I don't know why you have questions on others who have that, PLUS their money at stake. People usually don't brag about having low morals. In short, IMO, your answers don't tally.

If IB's Website Contains Falsehoods, Customers are SOL

[If time were the issue, IB could simply respond to my questions in private forum--the same way others are being directed. Clearly, IB is stumped.]

If IB's Website Contains Falsehoods, Customers are SOL

kiwi trader, I love you too. You never answered my question from the other thread: is it not true that you get compensated by IB as part of some type of ind. contractor relationship to handle their mess?

If IB's Website Contains Falsehoods, Customers are SOL

I don't feel it's a solution for the big IB to make the little guy suffer for their own protection. If one address bears the brunt of problems, i.e. IB, they will know how to protect themselves for next time. If the way to protect themselves is by making the customer responsible, there is...
