Here is my guess: Chart 1 is somewhat range-bound. Chart 2 is more trendy.

I am not a volume expert...but volume on a tick chart is too "even out" for me. Volume spikes, increasing/decreasing volume are more visible to me on a minute chart.

Hi, I am new to STW. I wonder if anybody uses Quotetracker with IB to chart and backfill STW with no problems? Just to check, is the regular market hours for STW 8:45_AM_-_01:50_PM HKT and the off-market hours 2:45_PM_-_10:55_PM HKT? Also, is STW sensitive to live economic news...

Pardon me if I misunderstood...but the OI counter increases when price decreases...and you keep entering longs. So is this a counter-trend system that dont work well on trend days? Thanks.

Thanks for your answer. Just to clarify, do you mean that Quotetracker tries to construct an accurate volume chart with live IB feed even when TWS does not send out the complete time and sales? I suppose a 100% accurate volume chart is not possible? Steven.

Thanks for your answer. Specifically, I am using a third-party charting software using TWS as a data feed. So I suppose the volume that is charted is less than the actual exchange volume.

Hi IBSoft, I understand that the TWS does not send out every tick. Does that mean that the total volume sent by TWS tick by tick is less than the actual volume done on the exchange, for example ES on Globex? Thanks for clarifying, Steven.
