friend said assent now requiring llc consent form

I previously traded remotely at Assent and had a series 55 exam, I took mine for another prop firm... Worldco. It was a test that I had to study a few weeks for, and it was fairly difficult for me. This is probably because I usually do not study extensively and tend to rely on the process of...

friend said assent now requiring llc consent form

I also had 100% payout as a remote trader. Just remember...even with licenses you are a customer, so press them hard for a good deal and if they will not give it to you, go elsewhere, even if that means remote trading vs using a local office.

friend said assent now requiring llc consent form

I had 60 to 1 leverage being registered with and trading directly thru Assent...remotely. Obviously deals like that are a result of your negotiations with the various Assent branch managers. They have to believe that you have enough common sense to use leverage like that wisely and not be...

    Series 7 Firms?

There are a few other firms such as Assent and Hold Brothers that are registered thru FINRA. These firms require a series 7 and 55 license (the 55 for trading nasdaq stocks). I had really good leverage as a remote trader thru Assent.

llc model no more for props

Wiesman02 in your particular situation getting the series 7 license would probably be advantageous. You were already registered with FINRA and the series 7 test is not extremely hard. You have to study for it and take a lot of practice test, but its definately doable. Remember you only need...

    PDT Rule & Prop Firms

I wonder if the retail direct access firms are also quietly behind the scenes putting pressure on the SEC to shut down prop trading firms. They would seem to have the most to gain. They were stuck giving out 4 to 1 intraday leverage and unlicensed sub LLC prop firms are giving out 10 and 20 to...

    Cy Group any info appreciated

2TradesADay there are a few things for you to keep in mind concerning these prop firms that give you leverage off of a $5k deposit. Because of the nature of their business model they are hoping that you care about the $5k that you put up as an initial contribution and will not do anything...

    Trading fulltime retail with $50k

Good luck to you weisman02. I know what you mean about working as a retail banker, at firms like Chase, $45-50k is the average pay for most personal bankers. Retail banking just is not what it used to be. Firms like Chase have applied the fast food model to consumer banking and really...

    Congratulations Shorts !!!

I just happened to be holding 20 put contracts on OII (Ocean Engineering), was planning to sell them on Tuesday anyway. It will be interesting to see how much an oil service stock like that falls tomorrow. I expect the Fed to try and do something tomorrow morning, to keep the US markets...

    Rimm $ 80

Once again I screwed up in RIMM. I bought the Feb 95 puts this morning around 9:50 am or so... held all day and sold them to lock in some profits just before the close. I was nervous that INTC would have good news and RIMM would gap up tomorrow morning. At this rate RIMM will be trading...

Looking for a good prop desk

I have previously traded remotely thru Assent, which is a good firm in my opinion (as are many others) but it is also a member of FINRA/NASD and will hold all your FINRA/NASD licenses. They give good leverage off your capital contribution, but they had a 1 year lockup on it, at least when I...

    Rimm $ 80

I sold my RIMM Jan 95 puts yesterday for a decent profit, but now I feel that I might have made a mistake ( I tend to exit winning positions too early). Those of you who see RIMM going to the mid to low 80's...what kind of time frame do you have in mind?

    Series 55 No Longer Required

I have series 63, 7, 55 and 24 licenses. For me the series 55 was by far the hardest test. There was less information, but I had to actually spend time learning and memorizing that material, and on the practice tests all the multiple choice questions seemed to be good answers or close enough...

    Can I skip the "Interview/Intensive training" ?

my2cents probably just does not understand the difference between retail trading and prop trading firms. The pattern daytrading rule has absolutely nothing to do with proptrading. Rates of .005 and less and buying power of 20 to 1 or more off of $5000 and greater initial deposit is very...

Appl has reached near the bottom..

At this point I am hoping for a decent bounce, maybe tomorrow, just to sell the calls and salvage what I can. I wonder where this thing will find some sort of bottom 130 or 120? It will be interesting to see where this thing has a good valuation and how fast the market gets there.

Appl has reached near the bottom..

I am still holding AAPL Dec 180 calls, which I was up pretty decently on... til the stock took a nose dive here. I am now actually down like $8k on the position and in the process of deciding if and when to sell. I am hoping for a decent bounce due to sells of iphone in europe and going into...

    AMZN Earnings Play

Sold my AMZN calls at $13.30 it was just up too much for my comfort. Good luck to those who are holding. I hope it gaps up and I was probaly wrong to sell, but past my comfort level.

    AMZN Earnings Play

The odds that I will bail before earnings have jumped dramatically...this thing is up ridiculously.

    AMZN Earnings Play

If it continues to run up crazy like it is before earnings, who is going to sell?

    AMZN Earnings Play

I made nicely in AAPL today and now have 18 contracts on AMZN, probably should sell some before 4 pm, but probably will not. Its interesting how my option contract is lagging behind the stock more than it was this morning.
