I was bored. I took a small trade right before the market unexpectedly closed out on me. Thought it was gonna be one of those half days. :banghead:

    buying puts on FSLR?

ES/NQ down more than 1% and it hardly budged. It will def go down at some point and it won't be pretty but I don't like the idea of guessing tops & bottoms.

    Complacency in trading.

It's a bit more common in poker due to it having more of gambling aspect but it's not bound to only poker or trading. Can happen in any competitive sport, career or even video games.

    Complacency in trading.

Sounds like something many poker players experience in their career. I got no solution for it. I just know it is likely linked to dopamine exhaustion which then leads to complacency right after a huge win or streak.

How can you truly tell a company is buying back their shares??

I think your wasting your time with unorthodox methods. If it was that easy to spot everyone will be rich buying OTM options on BBBY. Companies like doing buybacks when shares are cheap so it's impossible to tell whether their secretly buying back or institutions/retail buying the dip until...

Lets face reality 99% of retail lose money and have to face all sorts of negative emotions like fear, greed, anger, ego, anxiety, depression, stress etc. I'd hardly call that routine enjoyable. Anyone who says so otherwise is either still new (less than 5 years of trading) or miraculously...

the myth of averaging down for traders

Do all (Upgrades/Downgrades/PT changes) are published in EXT hours?

It's easier to manipulate a move during low volume or after retail takes notice right before market opens. That's a lowkey pointless question.

    Signs of Ford Collapse

I can see them going out of business in the not so distant future. When is the last time you heard someone say "I want a Ford". Most likely never even heard the phrase in your life.

    Why wait for a pullback?

As someone has mentioned the market can move a thousand ways depending on instrument, sentiment, market conditions etc. So waiting for a pullback may not always be the right choice from a non-risk management point of view at least. It's just the general consensus is it's always better to wait...
