I think both DJ and Bloomberg distribute indications (and all pro firms?). In case you're doing Don's OO, I wouldn't care too much about the indication. It has close to no predictive value (winner vs. loser).

I got two shorts yesterday, one winner, one scratch. I often get shorts when the market opens down close to 1%, no problem, esspecially in lower volume stocks (around 1 mil per day).

I wouldn't care too much about the opening indication unless there's significant news. My statistics indicate it's more or less the same percentage winners whereever the stock opens (in the upper or lower half if long, opposite if short). It doesn't really matter (I don't trade news stocks)...

Hi Don, What did you do with BMY and PFE? I put in a "slingshot" order in PFE at 33.12. Next time I had a look at it it was trading at 34!! Covered my short with 35 cents in loss in PFE on the way back. I also lost 20 in BMY, lost 35 cents overall.

Don, I've been doing some research on the openings lately and traded very lightly but it seems there are certain stoks which only works either long or short, not both ways. Do you enter long (or short) orders only in one stock and skip the other way?

Hi, I'm running a Matrox Millennium G400 dualhead (AGP) on my win2k OS. I've found out there's quite a few running two Matrox dualheads using four monitors. However, they're using G450 cards. Does anybody know if it's possible to use two G400s? I think win2k allows up to eight monitors????

Rushman, You're not allowed to bring study materials inside. I think there's only four or five formulas to remember so that's not the big problem. I'd say Regulations and Options are more of an issue. Besides, you can still be wrong in 78 questions and still pass....

Hi, I sat the Series 7 yesterday and passed. My advice is to buy some discettes to simulate the test. I answered some 1,500 questions beforehand the two weeks before the test and passed easily. Don't waste any time by reading books, instead use the books to look up questions you don't know...
