As you might tell by the replies in this thread, nobody seems to know much of anything regarding the continuation of QT. It is a mystery. Time will tell. That's what makes it so exciting!!!!

The reason it is different is because you are lending large amounts of unsecured money to individuals who do not qualify for it. What is the source of repayment? Their future income. So once again, real slow. When they graduate they have NO income. Never did have any income. So now this...

Nope. MBtrading feed coming in fine for the emini's.

The data source comes from many places. MBTrading is mine. As long as "they" don't change anything, QT and MBT computers talk to each other.

When I first started trading futures 10 years ago, I didn't know there was a rollover day. The next day, Friday, I thought "what is happening to the volume"? Eventually I figured it out. I still have no idea why it is the Thursday the week prior to the 3rd Friday. WTF. And now, who cares...

That's the key. As long as the data source doesn't change anything, QT should keep working forever.

TDA's excuse sounds like BS to me. Unstable? Unmaintainable? They haven't touched it in over a year. The only thing they continue to do is run the registration server. So what? You don't even communicate with their registration server with the patch. I suppose someday QT will not be...

I am going to speculate here as to what is happening. Selling QT to TDA a few years back typically precludes the original owner from starting a competitive alternative. I believe it is called a "non compete clause". There have not been any beta versions or updates to QT since 9/23/2010...

So I downloaded the patch. Now what? Do I extract them into my Quotetracker file which I have located in "program files"? I extracted them into "my documents" but of course I suppose that does nothing. Help please.

I was at the CME Group site, and looked at the data for the CL contract under "settlements" which shows each days activity. The volume switch over Tuesday this past week. Which is 5 business days prior to the 25th. So for me, I will set that in concrete as being the semi-official "rollover"...

It appears that the volume switched over starting this past Tuesday towards the December contract. This would be 5 business days previous to the 25th of the month. Is this the formula for oil contracts every month? 5 business days prior to the 25th?
