    Trading the Indices on Fundamentals

The return of the Nikkei 225 is actually quite good if you consider its performance since its reception, it demonstrated how much it hurts if you entered at the top of a bubble.

The Reason Renewables Can't Power Modern Civilization Is Because They Were Never Meant To

Here is why I am skeptical of "climate change": 1. Mention of taxing carbon emission. Huge red flag here. 2. If everyone is genuine about reducing carbon output, why move all the production to China where the CO2 to power efficiency is much less? Nuclear power plant would be built everywhere to...

    hedging stock with index options

What is your risk profile? Determine what you can or can't afford to lose and work from that. Many times the best way to execute is just to take smaller position or set stop loss.

Credit Interest paid on HKD cash

There is a spike in overnight hibor on 11th April so the rate is not the "normal" rate. I think it is about 1.8% now. Don't forget first 10k get no interest and you only get full interest with 100k NLV. First tier still sucks with -1.5% spread.

Is Trading Itself a Bad Trade? I Analyzed the Industry- Prove Me Wrong

First you have to define what is trading. I once go long on the NIY at about 18000 with the intention of holding it, rolled it a few time and exit at about 22000. Is it trading or investing? I hold some of the stocks long term but I also sell them as appropriate and I also trade interest...

Cost of Living Ranking by Country

Well we are talking about half a million dollars for a 200 sq.feet shoebox in Hong Kong. Near a million for any semi-decent apartment. I agree that other stuff is cheaper but given the above price any other expenses are chump charge.

    Bad Catalyst: If Trump Impeached

Given the amount of money involved, it is pretty disingenuous to compare the net worth grow of any person, not just Trump, with S&P performance. If some random guy in ET inherited 200 million (or much more in today's dollar) would they go all in on S&P, or start some business, or just retire...

Huawei CFO arrested in Canada at behest of US

I would say ZTE was given a pass because they rat Huawei out after they got red handed after their internal document leak. She is one of the elite ruling class that's why CCP is so nervous. Even Patrick Ho Chi-ping didn't get so much attention.

How can you profit selling spreads like this?

    1. you automatically have a negative edge crossing bid-ask spread. 2. Why do you expect to make money? You have not give any reason why on average you should be profiting. (a.k.a. +ev trade) 3. Do not trust any "probability" number the program tell you.

    US Treasury Notes

lol "worthless piece of junk". If it is truly worthless piece of junk it would be trading at 10% or 20%, not 3% It is just the end of a long and huge bull run until recently.

supermicro option price case study / analysis or discussion whatever it is appropriate

    Hedging portfolio foreign currency risk

You should buy correct amount of Cad $ future at CME instead in step 3. Cost: bid ask spread and commission rolling the future plus interest rate difference between USD and CAD IB treat spot fx the same as cash conversion, so you will end up not converting anything as step 3 cancel out step 2.
