Actually I think daytraders didn't loose as much money as long term investors that bought things out of hype in this market and definitely not people that were going short thanx to margin. Rule not to trade tech and .com stocks would be more apporpriate to protect traders / investors. I think...

Thank you all who took time to reply. Trading breakouts / breakdowns seems to be a very controversial issue. Some love it, some hate it. But so probably anything else... For some reason I think the set up you buy and short breakthroughs off could make a world of difference. To make sure...

Is this possible that many breakouts fail because in reality stock toped out even though it looked like a break out? Vice versa in the other direction. Is there a way to tell a difference? Thanks, Bob

Had a problem similar to that, Demo and real version was crashing computer, when I tried to download again, it didn't want to download. Talked back and fourth with IB support, happened that I just got a cable modem and my network card (NIC) was not compatible. Hope this helps, Bob

America is becoming socialistic and democtratic country. Being formerly from Russia, I don't find this exiting at all. Why don't they just put price caps on starting your own buisiness, etc. I don't know if anyone paid attention, but doesn't this sound as a rather legal issue...

So if you're in the whong side of the tracks, less than 25K, you'll have to reconsider cutting losses as well? That's sick.
