Bad as in good?

Fixed, got all 14 running.

Well, found the culprit, apparently I had some nvidia drivers installed on my computer, though I have no idea how they got there. I uninstalled them and voila! Six monitors off of usb. So all 14 are up and running. :)

Those nice 27 inch displays weren't out when I got my 30 inch displays, or I'd have considered them. Oh well. My setup looks pretty nice, but the third row is kinda hard to see up top. I may get an eye ache using them, lol. I've got to wait until friday to get the last 2 monitors working...

Currently running 12 displays, weird the DisplayLink usb dapater wont work for 6 displays as advertised, it only will power 4. Guess I'll have two sleeping displays until Friday when my displayport MST hubs come.

After some contemplation, I'm pretty sure I can run six high resolution displays, as only one mini displayport will be used by the hub on each card. That leaves another mini displayport, the hdmi, and dvi, so three high resolution monitors per card. I'm rather impressed with what these...

I found out that my usb display adapters run two monitors each, so tomorrow I should have the ability to run 14 displays, and so I just have to wait for my stands and monitors to come, so probably it will be running Christmas eve.

Also, as a side note, my computer system should be able to reliably power 18 monitors once setup. (I'm buying one more DisplayLink adapter to max at 6 possible DisplayLink displays). I will start with 15 monitors, but I may add another stack of three later for a total of 18 monitors. Or a stack...

Well, I just found out I can power two monitors with each usb 3.0 displaylink adapter, so I decided to add another monitor to the setup, a vertically mounted 30 inch ips display I had that I wasn't using (2560x1600), as a vertically mounted display that size should work nice for looking at...

My cards aren't fanless but the fans spin at low rpm for general use, they only speed up when gaming (which I probably wont try now that I have two cards sandwiched next to each other). I'm gonna try to run a ATI 7850 and 7970, with displayport hubs on each (they are available now finally). So 12 displays off of two cards. We'll see how that goes, hope I don't fry my motherboard, lol. My power supply is 750w, so it should run them. Then two more off of usb 3.0 displaylink adapters.

Probably the NVS 450, those are fanless and run 4 per card.

Those cards control two displays right? How do you do 8 with two cards? A displayport hub? (A little off topic but just wondered).

Pretty neat you got around the 10 monitor limitation, I'll make note of that in case I try a setup with an older OS. Cool. I went with smaller screens partly because you can tilt them in better than bigger screens let you. We'll see how this works. I also got a steal deal on them too, at $130...

Anyone running a lot of screens? I see pictures on google if you search "trading monitor setup" that show as many as 15 or so screens, do poeple use that many? I mean, for currencies?
