    Looking for options software advice.....

For the avoidance of doubt, what I stated is fact. I have been trading UK options since 1999. I cannot hold stocks in my account, it's purely options. The ONLY free options data we get is 15 mins delayed.(weirdly they quote prices at the open ). I have to phone in my orders. There is only IB to...

    Looking for options software advice.....

You guys are so lucky in the US. We have nothing in the UK to help. I have to phone orders in to my broker-ironically an American broker. We get 15 minute delayed options prices, and that is it. It's 100% DYOR here, but.... I make a living comfortably

Free left tail convexity. Am I kidding myself?

Gentlemen- I am delighted to see some positivity and some great thinking. I only trade UK, but index options are a no brainer. No early exercise and the entire index will not all get caught groping young ladies in lifts(elevators). Has anyone done stats on disgraced CEOs? Good luck to people...

This Strategy Beat the World’s Top Hedge Funds—Don’t Try It

They get quite upset when you point out they are simply lucky. Anyone could buy the S&P reinvest dividends and cherry pick any winning period. Easy when you start in the 80s JP Morgan continue to lose my money, >10% p.a.

How many options strategies should you realistically master?

I've only ever been retail -most of my life I made music for a living. I would love to have spent a week in a trading room with some 'pro's' . 23 years of real trades and I'm still here, making the same dumb mistakes.

How many options strategies should you realistically master?

FTSE has sufficient liquidity for me, I like the trading hours and trading in £sterling.

How many options strategies should you realistically master?

Yet again another inane thread of insults. What a shame. I trade over 40 different strategies but only on the index. In the UK that's FTSE. It's never easy money, and we should be supportive, not abusive. Shame on you,we were all newbies once.

    0DTE Iron Condor results

A 5 Delta option with one day to expiry has no premium -just done the calcs for FTSE. I'd actually be paying for the privilege of trading! To quote this lady: I find that fees and commissions eat up 30-50% of the profits. Always happy to learn-even after 23 years trading. Very happy we do not...

Tired of losing money every trading day

Trading is hard. Trading without a mentor is very hard. Finding something that suits you is hard. Finding things that don't suit you, very easy. You need to eliminate all the stuff you don't want. I have traded UK options for decades with the chart and 2 MAs,the options chain and the CME...

    Increasing popularity of 0DTE options

I trade the FTSE100 index options- these expire at 10:15 am on the 3rd Friday of the month, never seen much sense in trying that- it's100% gambling. CBOE sent a link to a webinar - one of the few that holds no fascination for me,but check it out.

    Dr. Copper misbehaving again

Excellent call- who the hell thinks $10 a week more is a fair trade off for tomorrow's environment for our grandchildren? Money printing kills many but rewards the few.

Finally, an economic predictor we can believe in

Academics rarely make money and raking through the mountains of fiction in company reports cannot have much merit. You don't know who is lying today, until that lie comes to light in 6-12 months. How the hell would they know which books are cooked? Like Trump's tax returns- laughable

Goodbye 2022 -- and good riddance. Markets close out their worst year since 2008

I've traded my own money since the last century, I couldn't resisit this-but then I have a crappy Samsung tv and a dodgy set top box from John Lewis -they are toast in my estimation. Shame how a reputation is so easily damaged. LOL- Where are the customers' yachts? -Owned that since about2003...
