tomorrow we go down some more

Show me a guy with absolute conviction in a trade, and ill show you a guy who is not a trader. This is all about probabilities, not conviction. Today favored the longs by a decent margin, but its still pretty easy to be wrong even if you know you have a 60% probability of being right...

tomorrow we go down some more

Ooooooh, lets say about 2 billion backtests, is my rationale. I said today would be an up day. You could have bought at the open, sold at the close and made good money. I didnt make an predictions beyond that. I have no issues with shorting the 2nd fall, but were not there yet and it wasnt...

tomorrow we go down some more

Ummm, maybe because there is no rational reason to do so? I hadnt seen a single good rationale for anyone going short the next day after a drop like that, which often puts things into oversold territory. Its usually better to go long after a sell off like that, but not always.

tomorrow we go down some more

From open to close SPY dropped 225 pts. Lets see, only 9 days ago, it dropped a similar 250 pts, and rallied almost 250 pts over the next two days. So yeah, it was too late to short then, and could be too late to short now. The prev big drop was on 5/24 and the next day was UP...

tomorrow we go down some more

Dont care either way, I wont be trading that kind of move, but I wager the bargain hunters move in tomorrow and rip some shorts a new one. Going short this late = bad idea most of the time.

Best Thing for U.S. Economy: Raise Taxes

"It can be argued" does not equal FACT. How do you know those men would not have ended up as successful or even more successful? You dont. Its not proveable. Now let me give you a fact. Guys who get divorced tend to get raped in court and their assets obliterated. Kinda evens things out...

    60,000 down the drain

Poker > trading, for most people. At least with poker, its a known fact, that if you master the rules and stick to them, you will make money in poker. In trading, you may never, ever, find the rules, and they are always changing. Kiss that 60G's goodbye, because you will probably never...

Best Thing for U.S. Economy: Raise Taxes

The dem-rats and re-pubic-lans hold total power. They will never allow a third party to challenge them. So the question is, how do we change the system? I just dont see it happening. Whenever someone thinks about voting for a third party, everyone starts screaming that your throwing...

Best Thing for U.S. Economy: Raise Taxes

Imagine the government pitching the idea of "socialized food". Thats right, socialized food. No longer will people be stuck buying their own food, the GOVERNMENT will by food for you! After all, lots of really poor people have a hard time buying food, so to be fair, were just going to...

Best Thing for U.S. Economy: Raise Taxes

Just wait until they stuff socialized healthcare down our throats. Even more money wasted, and there is no going back. Once the government gets its teeth into your jugular, they will never let go. We will always be stuck with socialized healthcare, where people making a decent living pay...
