You could start with just a basic strategy of selling covered calls, I dont know if you will be able to get 15%, but it is a relatively safe and easier strategy to implement while you learn some more advanced plays. Plus you build up a little experience with options.

Sure, but then why would you go put your money in the other funds? ESL has been getting 30% after fees for years now, and he just said he is going to Goldman Sachs to raise more capital, why isn't there 3-5 Billion dollars at his door step the second he says that? Id be pulling all my money out...

Its interesting to see the returns by those funds, many in the single digits to low teens, but the big names are still pulling in 30-40, ESL, SAC, Renaissance. Makes you wonder why people go with the other funds when some one like Lampert is currently looking to raise capital.

Might as well just go to the library to trade too. Seems like sitting around "bored" is a huge waste, you could get a part time job and make some steady $$, or take the time to further your knowledge which could make you a better trader. Test out different strategies or learn a new subject.

I was checking out the Sep calls on Yahoo finance, but when i checked on Schwab, they only had the qqqim.x not the uqqim.x ones, so i just assume those are the ones that i should be looking and also since they have way higher volume.

I was checking out the QQQQ puts, and i see that there are two symbols(qqqim.x and uqqim.x) one is trading a lot cheaper than the other, can someone tell me what the difference is, thanks. I know some companies will have two symbols if there has been a merger or something, is this what happened?
