Was a good spot to take a short trade on today's ES

Thanks, I have come to this realization about undercapitalization being the problem you described. I am working on it, and trying to get more money, and practice. Thanks for your answer.

Trading platform that has market replay?

I will explore those platforms and options. Do you know if I will have to change brokers to use either one of those platforms (sierra charts and ninjatrade)? I will eventual figure this out for myself, but if you could give me a head start toward piecing it together, I would be appreciative. I...

Trading platform that has market replay?

Thank you! Much appreciated. It is time consuming going through each potential platform sifting for the right info. It's good when someone else already has the info. Thanks again.

Trading platform that has market replay?

I use ToS. It has a simulator called On Demand, but there is a one week wait period before a day can be re-traded. I would like to re-trade the current day after the regular trading hours are over (without having to wait a week), but do not know if this technology is available?

Where is the most typical place to find a two-legged correction on the charts?

Is a failed break-out a typical situation for a two-legged correction to occur? Say, for example, price is in an up-trend, and then begins trading in a range for a while. A failed break out would be when price attempts to break out of the range to the upside. Would a two-legged correction, then...

Is there someone who can explain Al Brook's H1 and H2 for me

Well I see it's a waste of time trying to ask questions here. Most people are just looking for an opportunity to ridicule, justified or not, and others like Daring are only filled with frustration and negativity. I have been trading for two years. But you took the opportunity to use "over a...

Is there someone who can explain Al Brook's H1 and H2 for me

I don't think there is any doubt that I am on my way to being profitable. I feel so confident that I actually went out and bought a new lap top on credit to replace my old Pentium 4 because I know I can make the money to pay if off. I also decided to get a new HDTV to compliment my new lap top...

I just finished reading this article, it is excellent. Thank you, Tobbe.

Is there someone who can explain Al Brook's H1 and H2 for me

I see. Well apparently I already know, and have been applying, H1 and H2 in my trading. This is what I learned about from reading "a simple price action approach". There was no mention of labels H1 and H2 in the thread, though. I picked up on H1/H2 over at Big Mike's, (in an Al Brook's...

Is there someone who can explain Al Brook's H1 and H2 for me

Thank you, I am going to see if my library can get his book "price charts bar by bar" through inter-library loan, although I understand, based on the many comments I have read, that it is very hard to read. I hope to find comments about the book in this forum, and elsewhere on the web, from...

Is there someone who can explain Al Brook's H1 and H2 for me

I am very interested in learning more about the teachings of Al Brooks. In just the past two weeks, the Brooks-inspired postings I have been able to gather on ET have helped me immensely. I have been trying to learn more about the concepts he teaches but I haven't had much success. In another...

Using the ignore feature is a great idea Frank, I didn't think of it.

Do you have any favorite threads?

I have spent about a month on "a simple price action approach". I am about sick of it. The hardest part is wading though all the non-relevant posts, the one's where a little conflicts flare up between certain people, and escalate, or the ever-present person who has nothing to offer except...

Was a good spot to take a short trade on today's ES

What confuses me is that it's not easy to compare apples to apples. I know TOS' commission is all-inclusive, whereas broker's that have lower rates require I pay exchange fees, etc. I have considered looking for a new broker, but each time the search became too confusing for said reason. Also...

Was a good spot to take a short trade on today's ES

Thanks for your replies. I got nervous because I only have $4850 in my futures account. Margin requirement for 1 contract is at TOS $4350. So I am very sensitive to loss. I know I am under-capitalized. But if I can take higher probability set-ups using 1 contract, and very little heat, perhaps I...
